What a beautiful property! The food was great! From the buffets to the world class restaurants, amazing culinary treats. My only suggestion here would be 'more guacamole'. :) It was always freshly made, but as soon as it hit the buffet, it would be gone in about ten minutes. The service is outstanding. If by chance you needed anything, it... More

We had previously stayed at the Palace Riviera Maya but just wanted a change, having read reviews on the Palace Mexico we decided to try and were not disappointed. It was more peaceful than the RPRM with a lovely beach area, the pool area was not as good as the RPRM still very nice though. The service really is very good all through... More

We stayed here for 2 weeks at the beginning of December 2011. We found the hotel to be beautiful, well maintained, the rooms to be large and quiet. The beds were comfortable and room layout similiar to other Riu Palace hotels. The courtyard style to the hotel creates a nice feel to the grounds. The stand-outs at this hotel are... More

From a Travel Consultant's perspective - Stayed from 28Nov -7nights. Arrival check in at 3pm smooth & efficient. Staffed by at least 6 persons. English spoken by all and very helpful front desk staff during entire stay. Room- garden view, booked and received. Hotel was at full occupancy no upgrades available. The superior courtyard view rooms are the same but... More

After 6 years we had decided to return to the Riu Palace Mexico. We were not disappointed. The last time we visited our holiday was interuppted by Hurricane Wilma - not a good experience. We were celebrating our 35th Wedding Anniversary so had decided to return to Mexico, as we love it so much there. The hotel staff made us... More

Still in PDC withdrawl... what a fantastic 2 week family vacation at RPM!! I've stayed with Riu before, but not at a Palace. In the future I will only stay at a Riu Palace!! This trip was with my 2 teens & myself. I requested (and got) an extra bed in our room - I was a little concerned that... More

My wife and I went to RIU Palace Mexico in December of 2011. Our experience was HORRIBLE! The staff was rude, the food was subpar and to top it off we had a hotel staff member burst into our room in the middle of the night claiming he was security. We transferred hotels the next day. We both feared for... More

We booked with Thomas Cook which proved to be a mistake as they apparently have a connection with Iberostar hotels and therefore as this is the Riu chain we had the worst rooms in the hotel. Thomson customers have the fountain facing rooms, so check before you travel. Travelling as a group with teenagers and an elderly mother we requested... More

Just back from a week at the Riu Palace Mexico. We have three girls, two teenagers and a ten year old. This is a great hotel. The staff is helpful and always smiling. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. The beach is terrific and well-maintained. The food is good, but not great. Also, the evening shows are not as much... More
