We arrived Feb.2/10 @ 11:30 am just before they reopened the brand new beach. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. There was a bit of a mix up with our reservations but the problem was resolved quickly. We found the reception staff always smiling and willing to help. The rooms are a little run down but they were passable....

Just a quick review, just do not pay attention to bad reviews about this resort, like somebody wrote before, you will find a crack paint, smelling problems etc anywhere you go. Nothing is perfect, not even at your own home! the resort is a small one with great personel and amazing views to the turqouise waters right in front of...

This was a awesome resort, some musty smell in room, some paint cracks, nothing major, you are in mexico. Staff is soooo nice. everyone says hi and is smiling. Food is very good for buffet and waiters are very fast and nice. Beach is awesome and always an open lounge chair, drinks are great. The bartender in the disco lounge,...

Upon arriving to our room the AC did not work, lights did not work, curtain in shredds, towels like rags. Second room not much better. They gave us better towels and the TV worked after 2 repairs. In order to turn on wall light one had to turn exterior lights on the building down stairs. Lights in room not good...

The resort itself is very pretty with great pools, kids' areas. Rooms were nice with good maid service but the walls were so thin you could easily listen to your neighbors conversations, babies crying etc... The outdoor "disco" played loud music quite late that could be heard all over the resort making it hard to get to sleep if you...

We just returned from our third stay at the Allegro Playacar in about 6 years. The location and the wonderful staff have always made it one our favorite vacation spots, but the beach erosion was a detraction. This year, however, we were pleasently surprised to find a magnificent new beach about 80 yards deep, complete with new palm trees and...

I was also a little nervous after reading all the reviews online. This resort is a 3.5 star. I have stayed in nicer resorts but they were 5 star. For those that complain about the resort I don't know what they expect for a 3.5 star and if they paid too much for a 3.5 star they can't blame the...

I'm glad I didn't take to seriously some reviews on this location as it turned out to be a very nice spot. Three days before we arrived there was no beach, when we got there, here was a beach two hundred feet deep and stretching from Playa Del Carmen to the last resort in Playacar, and overnight they planted 21...
