El Punto is really where you want to stay, its on La Quinta or 5th Ave and you can walk everywhere within minutes. The beach is two streets away and you can see it from the rooftop. I rated the place a four star because the pillows were old and the mattress needed a change. Apart from that is clean,... More

As soon as you come in to the boutique hotel you get a nice welcome to the hotel. They share with you places you should visit while in Playa del Carmen and even hand you a map and show you key places. Once I went into my room I was amazed and very pleased whit the decor and lay out... More

It's very hard to keep the review short due to the many good things that we experienced in this hotel. The hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel, which is very tastefully decorated , very modern and chic. The staff was unbelievably attentive to the need of my wife and I. Not only did they want to you have a good... More

Very disappointing. The only positive words I can say are for the location. Excellent 1 minute to the beach and right next to all the shops, restaurants, bars and clubs. Do not take room 20, we wanted a nice room bigger than the standard room they have. Room 20 has a large vent with vent motor loud and unpleasant when... More

The hotel is right on the Main Street where the shops, restaurants and bars are, and only a block away from the beach. The air conditioning worked great and we needed it because it was really hot outside. The only complaint is that the bathroom got really hot and it smelled a little. If it wasn't for that, I would... Paid for a wi-fi room, never had it in five days! Day after day they would say the company would fix it and it wasn't their responsibility... Obviously it is their responsibility and of course wi-fi was never fixed. First early morning at the hotel, the receptionist simply used his keys to get into our room! While we were sleeping!!... I saw this hotel on Groupon for a great deal and I saw that it had pretty decent reviews. I booked the reservation back in February for four night from May 6 - May 10. Me and my boyfriend were very excited for the trip. After traveling for several hours and getting off of our terrible flight, our shuttle brought... More

This was my fifth time staying at El Punto. I was very pleased with my visit. Francisco the front desk manager is always so nice and accommodating. It's a great boutique hotel we stayed in a family suite with balcony, and a junior suite... Its a great price and the best location. Rooms are cozy and chic, wood floors, exposed... More

y wife and I were ther from April 15 thru 22, 2016. Not impressed. The hotel counts everything from a roll of toilet paper, bar of soap, towels, etc. They kind of nickel and dime you for just about everything including coffee, water. And, it is not what is advertised. Most all amenities such as lighting and fixtures are either... More
