The hotel itself was very attractive and the rooms were lovely and big, BUT... It was so loud at night that you could not sleep. All the noise from the nearby bars could be heard all night. We could actually hear all the songs the guy was playing on his acoustic guitar from the bar down the street. I would...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a week the beginning of November and we both thought the hotel was ok. We arrived at the hotel at 10am and was lucky enough to get our room right away. The front desk staff were very helpful and if i had any problems they did there best to fix them....

Just spent 2 nights at the hcda Real, it is an ok hotel. It is old and could use some fine tuning. The room was adequate. We reserved a room with 2 queen beds, but got a small room with one queen bed. We faced the street, on the 3rd floor, and the noise at night was quite loud. The...

The Hotel is located in a great spot. Arrival at the bus station and then a short walk to the hotel and shopping. The room was clean and comfortable, but the noise from the street was loud into the wee hours of the morning. We booked two nights, however when returned from shopping we were asked why we had not...

There was not one single thing bad enough to cause us to switch hotels, but we will not be staying there again. Check in was at 3, but the room was not ready until after 4:30. We reserved two queen-sized bed, but they only had single queen size beds available. They said that they assume that couples will sleep together....

this hotel appeared great value for money. fair price, good location and well appointed rooms. but nothing worked and nobody cared. numerous little things - like no plug for the bath - answer "go look under the sink". nothing there - answer "here's an old one that nearly fits". the worse ones you just couldn't laugh about.

Pro's- The hotel was not bad for the price. It had a great location and was easy to get to pretty much anywhere. Con's- It was NOISY. Not from the inside *except the last day when a large group of young people were in the pool) but from the outside. The sliding glass door sounded as if it weren't closed...

Playa Del Carmen was one of the cities we visited on our honeymoon. We weren't aware it was easter and when we did, we hurried up and order 2 nights at the hotel which was one of the last ones to have rooms available. The hotel is avarage, and a bit noisy because of the strange acoustics. The best thing...

We bought an all-inclusive package here, and the food was sooo good! It was all made to order, not buffet. You could ask for stuff off the menu too, if it was simple American stuff. The room was clean, it was so close to the beach, the mojitos were to die for. Just loved everything about it.

The hotel gave a good first impression and was in good condition. The staff was accomodating and helpful and the cleaning was first class most of the time. When we checked in, our booking at Hotels.com did not seem to be recognized by the receptionist. She needed a print-out of out reservation (which was in Danish!) and when she checked...
