Piedra de Agua is a really well done restauration of a 100-year old building, with very nice taste details in the rooms, the central area and especially the pool and bar in the back. Our room was very clean and nicely appointed. They did an interesting renovation of one of the original rooms with a little balcony to the street,...

Well restored ancient spanish mansion in the very center of the city of Merida, just steps away from the cathedral, the main touristic spots and souvenir shops. It has been lovely decorated -both the common areas and the rooms-, with good taste and overall it is in a very good condition. The staff is young, often slow and mostly polite....

we arrive tired driving from hours, and they didn't have parking for the car. The rooms are extremely small, smelly sheets and dust in bed covers, mosquitos inside, and tv not working, as boutique hotel, it has the infraestructure, but nothing else. Not confortable at all, and we left after 30 minutes, and still they charge us the day and...

My hubby and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon. We went to Cancun first and this was our 2nd stop. From the outside it really doesn't look like much, it camoflauges with the storefronts around it, but inside, that's a whole other story. We checked in, and it was easy. I know others have complained but the transaction...

We drove into Merida in the evening then pulled up to the Hotel not knowing what so expect. We entered this old wolrd Lobby that had sufisticated modern elements. Then we checked in and wandered to the cousrt Yard to Find our friends enjoying martinis in the Glow of the super funky Bar. I was amazed at the contrast of...

My husband and I just moved to Merida 1 month ago and are experiencing the sites and sounds that Merida has to offer. We had visited the hotel Piedra de Agua 2 years ago when it was under renovation. We fell in love with its historical architecture which takes you back to yesteryear. We were in downtown Merida this past...

I chose this hotel because of its location and the ads indicating it was "boutique". I thought the girl at the front desk was a bit slow but didn't care much, as I expected a slow pace in Merida. The lack of an elevator did bother me a bit. But what I really, really disliked was the room's size and...

To be honest, the whole experience was really quite crap: 1) front of house lady was the laziest person ever - didn't care, didn't smile, didn't wanna know. 2) the king/queen size rooms are TINY, really really tiny and the bathrooms are even TINIER! Literally maybe 25 sqfeet if that! 3) the whole of the hotel is pretty run down...

Piedra de Agua Hotel is a really nice boutique hotel located on the perfect spot of downtown Merida. Perfect location. Service really bad. I'm in the travel industry.
