This hotel is a short walk from the heart of Merida and the best restaurants and bars. It's been recently refurbished and the rooms are neat, clean and perfect for a short stay. Don't expect any luxury here but perfect if you are looking for a descent place to stay. We even had breakfast included, very simple yet a nice... More

We stayed two times for a couple of days in Hotel Trinidad. The hotel is just perfect for us. It's centered, the rooms are very big with big beds and they get cleaned every day. It has got a small garden where you can lounge and where it is very quite. The staff is extremely nice, they make you feel... More

We booked delux room for our stay. When we entered it was full of mosquitos. The room was on the ground level, with no normal window, just the uppet piece of door you could open. There was no mosquitos net - but it was in the room description. We asked for another room but they said there is nothing available.... More

Only the best rooms (with private bathroom and windows) are worth considering. But even then you cannot avoid the mosquito attacks each night. Beware of the cheaper rooms. These are dark holes with bars in windows, feels like a prison. The toilets are located in the same small room as the showers. They are split by a 1.5 meter wall.... More

Good for backpacking but theres major issue with mosquitos in rooms that cannot be avoided. we stayed during some festival so it was impossible to fall asleep without earplugs. breakfasts are very basic-tosts and fruit. wifi works very well. rooms are small

We had a double room with private bathroom on the second floor. The room was comfortable and clean except at night got attacked by mosquitos in the room, even with mesh on the windows. The location is good only a few blocks away from the town centre. Wifi available for free over the entire complex which is very large with... More

This was a very nice hotel, I stayed in a single room with a king size bed, for about 23€ (w Fan b/c I do not like AC). I was a 5 minute (max) walk from the main square of Merida. They had a basic breakfast (coffee, fruit, bread butter & marmalade) but very nice. The staff was great, there... More

My husband and I came to Merida for a honeymoon the week before we were married. Hotel Trinidad is the first place on our whirlwind tour of the Yucatan where we stopped and took a real break from the silly spinning of travel and just enjoyed the down time together. I'll never forget sitting in one of their lovely and... More

If this place could be rated on staff friendliness and service alone it would get very good ratings. We had read all the reviews and focussed on the bad (of course) and when we arrived we asked to see another room as the first one was near to the breakfast bar. We paid a little more for a room on... Our backpacking company booked us into this hotel. It's faded grandeur which all very lovely except the basics like hot water don't come with the room. We had a large split level room at the back with a fridge, looked like a family room, with a large TV. The bathroom was very ostentatious but as mentioned the water was a... More
