Like staying with family in spacious rooms in a nice small, quiet hotel. High ceilings in the entry room, with tables to sit and work or talk, the garden with a small pool, in which kids can play and you can refresh yourself. Breakfast in the garden... after visiting the crowded city. Cute bar close by as well as up... More

Although close to the city center, the place is quiet and charming! The hotel is a former hacienta. There's a small pool in the center of the yard. The rooms are small but most have a fan and A/C. The service is average, though. The receptionist is looks rather disinterested.

The hotel only has nine rooms and our group completely filled all of them. It was like having our own home for a few days. We stayed in the apartment (room #9) that has a living room and kitchen. We had a hammock in the room and my daughter slept in it every night. The rooms are tastefully decorated.

Our three nights at the Marionetas hotel were very enjoyable. Friendly staff and an included breakfast made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Parking is provided in a gated lot directly across the street providing extra peace of mind. Breakfast is basic but sufficient (eggs or pancakes, fruit, coffee and juice). We didn't make use of the courtyard with a... More

Location: Merida, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico, North America Title: Youth Hostel Not Hotel ID#: 331451922 In fifty years of international travel first time I walked out, it even meant no refund 2 night stay. Expedia had this as a cutesy bed and breakfast, actually it was a made-over house and done poorly. Air conditioning did not work, nor did TV. Thirty... More

Located in a nondescript side street, the place has a pretty little courtyard with a small pool and wall fountain. Room is goodsized with a hammock, but dark and had a odor. You can get a fruit drink but no cocktail. They serve a simple breakfast. It's an easy walk through a somewhat seedy area to the magnificent main square.... More

We had 2 rooms on the ground floor of a small b&b type hotel in central Merida. The breakfast was good and the rooms quiet and clean, with tile floors, hammocks and local textiles. Staff was generally helpful though sometimes limited in English.

My husband & I happened upon this lovely little place when foolishly arriving in Merida on a Saturday night without a reservation. We expected to be disappointed as it was about our 10th choice but it turned out to significantly exceed expectation. Staff super helpful and friendly. Room big and clean with a mini fridge tucked under the sink in... More

The hotel is great, very helpful and accommodating staff, speak a small amount of English. Very clean ,pool is sparkling. Aircons and bar fridge work very efficiently. We enjoyed being close to the old city and specifically chose Marionettas so that we could see the sights in the evening. Well worth staying over.

I spent 8-nights the middle of October, 2015. Great staff and service, as well as continental breakfast featuring fresh fruit and fresh orange juice and excellent location. I requested a king room, and was not disappointed with room 6--which was downstairs--right off the pool. I highly recommend this hotel--very quiet and laid-back. Danny L.
