My partner and I had the pleasure of a four night stay at the Luz en Yucatan over Thanksgiving. We enjoyed ourselves in Merida immensely. The list of restaurants they give you is excellent. We ate at several and enjoyed them all. You can catch the double decker tour bus a half block away in front of the church and... More

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. I chose it because of the great reviews on trip advisor. The hotel is located in the centre of mérida, great location to visit the main attractions. Mexican style rooms. No elevator so if you have lots of luggage and get a room upstairs it's not nice to carry all that weight through... More

I have to say that our trip to Merida in August of 2011 was one of the most amazing adventures I have had in my life. When you vacation in any part of the world, if you are like my wife and I, you want to experience the feel and people of the city or country. As with Merida we... More

Very cozy and romantic hotel. We had a beautiful room on the second floor overlooking the swimming pool. They have a cart with open bar which is awesome. I would definitely stay there second time. Do not hesitate to stay at this wonderful place. Also very convenient location right in the center of town.

One should only travel if one wants to experience whatt is unique and true about a locale. And that includes where one stays. This place delivers. The location is perfect, right next to the St. Lucia church, and a few blocks from the Grand Plaza. The breakfast joint across the street was delightful. Down the corner, a guy was selling... More

What else could you want? Oh, location! A short walk to the Plaza, the Luz is a charming hotel that opens up into a garden with room surrounding the courtyard. Simply lovely! Parking is across the street in a secure lot, so no worries there... We got here on Friday evening, just as the fiesta was starting... my only word... More

Helpful, and friendly staff, clean rooms, beautiful garden, nice pool. They help you find tours, taxis, museums, banks. Donal, Augustin, Tom, and the rest of the staff are great. It is a treat to stay in such a place. The bathrooms are especially nice - good water pressure. Refrigerators for snacks, and drinks.

Charming, comfortable, friendly, in the center of everything. Stayed one night on our way to a beach rental near Progreso, and one night on our way back to the States. Unexpectedly delightful experience. Would recommend the room at the top of all the stairs with the little patio overlooking a neighboring hotel and rooftops of central Merida. Small room with... Wonderful place to stay in Meridá. That hotel has a peculiar charm and makes your stay memorable. My only regret is that we could stay only one night because we were on a roundtrip. The environment is great and busy and we were lucky to be there on a friday night when the fiesta began. The entire stuff and especially... More
