This hotel is about average... I usually like the older hotels because of their charm, but the pool looked nice and I thought it would be fun to stay on the Paseo de Montejo... Cons- it is NOT as clean as any of the other hotels I have stayed in during my Mexican adventures... Not filthy, but just not all...

We stayed 3 times in the Hotel El Espanol, on diffrent dates. The Staff was always very friendly and helpfull. One off this days we have to stay in the Hotel because I get very sick. There picked me up from my car with a wheelchair. The Room service is top,. You can get what ever you want and there...

I don't get why they have printed 5 stars on their logo and it ain't! I had to take a cold water shower because hot water won't flow, I reported it to the lobby but they did nothing. Beds are not comfortable, it seems that mattresses are too old, you can feel the side that's been used the most. Besides...

Room is spacious, bathroom tiny, view and street beautiful and located near lots of nice restaurants. All of which I can live with because the room is CLEAN, and breakfast & overall food in the restaurant was good.. but the beds are too low, too small and uncomfortable that it caused the most uncomfortable 5 days of sleep for a...

I took a mini vacation to celebrate my birthday at the Hotel El Espanol. It was a great experience. I realize that what makes a great experience for one person does not necessarily make it a great experience for another. But, friendly, courteous, helpful staff; lovely amenities like a large swimming pool, various dining options including room service; and great...

I booked two nights here for our Yucatan road trip. The hotel is clean and tidy, the breakfast is very good, the rooms comfortable (and yet twin rooms with small double beds again, not sure what they have against a solitary large bed?). The shower water pressure was low and it leaked a bit, but we didn't care. On the...

It's a decent hotel if you're looking for something simple. Clean beds, clean bathroom, friendly staff. Located in the middle of Paseo Montejo, so you're near everything. Only downside is that the walls are thin: you can hear everything that goes on in the adjoining rooms. Good value for your money.

Stepped in the hotel for some inquiries and directions. I couldn't believe the atmosphere, it was really stunning. The receptionists were very professional and accommodating. Eventually they offered me a complimentary lift in their airconditioned mini van, even though I was not even one of their guests! That is Yucatán hospitality in full-length. During my next visit to Mérida I...

It's just 5-8 minute walking distance from ADO Bus Station. However, it's a little bit far from the downtown central. You have to walk at least 15 minutes. The food stall opposite the hotel is just nice. Wifi connection in the room is always unstable.

My wife, myself and 2.5 year old stayed for 3 days. It is located on the main avenue in Merida where there are ample restaurants and centrally located. Check in was seamless with no issues at all. The staff is extremely pleasant and nice and do speak english also. They will accomodate you in anyway they can. Now the room....
