Aloha from Kauai, Hawaii, My boyfriend and I were staying at a beautiful Air B and B in Tulum for 10 days and impulsively decided to wake up at 5 am one morning and go on a road trip. We chose to visit Merida which was a very pleasant 3 hour drive. Little traffic and easy driving. We had no...

Having spent four weeks exploring Mexico were expecting to stay in "just another hotel".However this was a good quality boutique hotel which made us most welcome and offered us the best service we had come across on our trip. The quality of our room etc was excellent and all the advise and assistance given was most helpful.

Charming with a design flair that is understated yet is suggestive of the colonial Merida, this hotel was a wonderful find. We had the two rooms in the main building overlooking the pool, one with terrace and both with large comfortable beds. In a way, it is a bit rustic, due to the materials used and furniture chosen but very...

Like many haciendas/boutique hotels, this one looks very unassuming from the street. However, once you enter the front doors you feel like you are in another world. It is truly an oasis! We stayed two nights and our first room was a standard king on the first floor. It was a little on the small side and almost cave like...

We were here for 3 nights whilst visiting Uxmal, Kabah and the Celestun Biosphere Reserve. In the beginning we were not sure about Merida but came to appreciate it. The rooms are located around the swimming pool and we had the suite on the ground floor which had its own terrace area overlooking the pool. The suite was very large...

We arrived in Merida after a long drive, the day was hot, the road outside the hotel was busy, there were fumes from the traffic. We didn't feel terribly relaxed. The door was opened to the Merida VIP, we stepped in and I instantly calmed. I have had this experience at one or two other hotels around the world, when...

Two words, quiet and service. This hotel is small, but the room are huge. The employees are incredibly friendly and helpful. As good as and 5 star hotel we have stayed in. Breakfast was very good. Most of the time, we thought we were the only ones in the hotel. There is a room safe which in not listed on...

Just open the door and transport yourself from a world to another one...or more exactly from the real world to paradise... Same feeling like in marakech or Jerusalem or stargate...when you find yourself in a street that looks like nothing, open a door that is actually a nexus that teleports you in another dimension...this is where you are...another plan full...

Absolutely loved it here. Merida is a bustling, noisy city and this was a wonderful place to escape back to after a day of sightseeing. It's small, with only six rooms, and has it's own pool and lobby (separate from the sister hotel a few doors down). The staff was perfect and couldn't have been more friendly and helplful. We...
