The room was nicely decorated and clean but there...

Yes, the place is charming and the decor is lovely. But the owner had an uncanny knack for making his problems the guest's problems. The owner has distinct ideas about certain things being his staff's responsibility and he will not stray from those ideas no matter how much it inconveniences his guests. When I wanted to store my car for...

My husband and I spent several days in July at the Casa Mexilio. We had been to Merida several times before, chaperoning student groups and treated ourselves to a trip "alone." We gambled on the Casa after reading about it online, hoping for a quaint and cozy atmosphere near the action of the city. We were very pleased. The location...

“The Frida room has the pool right off the door, but there's less privacy. The Manual de Falla room is lovely and only on the second floor. I wouldn't want the fourth floor...carrying all that stuff up and down, and in the heat, worse. It's a delightful place, and they guide you with what you want.”

“The Manual de Falla room was quiet. The steps to the second level in the room are quite steep, but this was not a problem for us, just something to be aware of when choosing this room.”

“Any away from the street, and I think they all are.”

“The website has photos of everyroom. If you dont like to climb stairs ask for a garden level room. The guest house is like a tree house with rooms on numberous levels and bridges and walkways to move around the place.”

“Ask for a room in the higher levels for more cooling breeze.”
