The hotel is visualy nice, the staff attentive, the street noise takes getting used to. The location is excelent and makes for easy walking to the colianal center and restaurants...for us it was just ok.

We had the best time. This hotel is reasonable and is in the best location. It oozes with old fashioned atmosphere. Mike sure you get a room with a window on the plaza. The staff is super friendly and we are so grateful they recommended a day trip to Hacienda Peon. This is the perfect outing that has everything, swimming...

This is a hotel in the old style, now sadly missing from most places. It has personality and it gives a view into the lifestyle of more than century ago. The property is well maintained, with attention to authentic details. The main hall is a spectacular structure around the central court, very ornate. A veritable dip into early 20th century...

Stayed there overnight before catching my flight home. I showed up at around 10am when check in is at 2pm the staff were great and stored my luggage for me. I also got great reccomendations on were to buy a few non souvenir type things and a lunch spot. Overall the staff was very helpful. The hotel's got an old...

We arrived at the hotel early after a very early flight. It was disappointing, but not surprising, that we were not able to be given an early check-in, especially as the hotel never seemed close to occupancy. It was surprising, however, when our room wasn't even ready at the standard check-in time. They were almost a half-hour late getting our...

This hotel is 115 years old and steeped in tradition. One block from the main zocola and the 400 plus year old cathedral. It is situated in a small square with many restaurants nearby. One block away is Ponchos restaurant which is by far the best in Merida. Very reasonably priced, quiet and good staff.

This is one of the oldest working hotels at Merida. It has been kept as used to be many years ago and you can admire furniture, portraits and architecture of the 29th century begining. Rooms are adequate but need some refurbishing of course keeping the old flavor. Service is fair; no elevator to the upper levels. A/C is the old...

My family and I booked three rooms at Gran Hotel based upon overwhelming positive reviews here on TA. We were very pleased with this decision. This hotel will appeal to many, but not to everyone. Here are some things to consider. The hotel architecture is beautiful, but it is old. That means there are plenty of imperfections. For us, that...

Wow, wow, wow.... What a place. It was like staying at a museum instead of a hotel. The name fits the place outstandingly. Ample rooms, with some of the best beds ever, not the ones that kick you out of it in the middle of the night, nope, this ones you are going to have a hard time to get...

This hotel was perfect for us. It may not be for everyone though. The price was amazing! The location was amazing! For a little more on that though...it is right in the heart of it all. You could hear the people outside having a good time late into the night but it wasn't too intrusive and didn't bother us at...
