My husband and I stayed at Hotel Mérida Santiago for four nights late December 2016/early January 2017. Of course photos can always be deceiving, but we were cautiously optimistic this would be a nice place to stay based upon previous reviews. Lucky for us, it turned out to be an <amazing> place to stay. We were welcomed warmly by the...

What's not to love about this little boutique hotel?? The owners, Jan and Rita, are friendly, professional, and go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience in Merida. We also very much appreciated Ana's (the receptionist) help in getting us checked in and settled into the hotel. The hotel is beautifully designed with a pool...

Dear Savanna, thank you very much for all the very positive words you wrote for the hotel and its staff. Thanks for mentioning the design of the hotel and also the social time, which we think is a great way to share stories between travelers, or have a talk with the staff or owners, or just enjoy the free drink...

We had a wonderful stay at "Mérida Santiago". The place is a real little oasis in the town of Mérida, with a beautiful interior design. It's walking distance from the historic center. Jan and Rita, the hosts, and all of the staff went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. They provided us with a lot of useful...

This boutique hotel is a real gem. We were well taken care of by attentive staff. Owners Jan and Reta even got up in the dark to see us off early in the morning. No request was too much for them, advising on local site visits and shopping, assisting with medical dietary needs. The food at the restaurant was superb....

I could repeat all the great comments in all the other reviews,. In short, Jan and Rita could not have been any more gracious. Great breakfast to start the day. Far enough from the main square to be quiet, yet close enough for an easy walk. I felt very safe. Jan, scratch Gio for me!

We stayed for two nights in a superior suite. We were created with a welcome drink and told about the area. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was almost as large as the room! The hosts are brilliant Jan (pronounced Yan) and Rita. They had a welcome hour at 630 for drinks and a snack. They were very helpful...

We've visited Merida many times over the years and stayed at many hotels, big and small, and this was by far the best! A small, 6-room boutique hotel that almost catches you off-guard as the outside is very understated. But was beautifully kept inside. The colors, the decor, tastefully done. The staff was absolutely amazing. They MADE the experience. Every...

We stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel Merida Santiago and had an absolutely fantastic time. The hotel is very nice - the room was spacious, well appointed, and had a huge updated bathroom. There is a nice pool in the courtyard (great for a dip after/during the sweltering heat and humidity in the Yucatan). The size of the hotel...

Small few rooms boutique hotel in the central part of Merida. The owners are really what sets this place apart. A pity we had arranged to only spend one night in...
