We stayed at Lorenzo's for 5 days. Nice room, very comfortable. There is an out door bar and BBQ for use. Nice soaker pool to cool down in. But the best was Margarita Tues. Larry makes the best I have ever Tasted. 2 blocks from the main Blvd. 2 blocks to the for the city market. We took the bus... More

My wife and I stayed at Casa Lorenzo for the month of Feb 2016 while attending Spanish classes in Merida. Larry was a fantastic host insuring we had one of his wonderful breakfasts each morning before we walked to class. The location is superb with easy walking access to Paseo Montejo, parque Stn Anna and a myriad of lunch and... More

The place is so lovely, the room so inviting and the bed so comfortable but the real star is Larry himself. It started with his helping me with my first long term rental here even before I arrived, to the warm greeting at the airport to getting tickets for the symphony, I will always associate my first impression of Merida... We did not stay at this establishment but we did visit it as part of the English Library house tours. We met the owner and were able to see the rooms and common areas. The rooms all have ensuite bathrooms and the beds looked modern and comfortable. The furnishings were nice and internet is available in the rooms. Breakfast is... More

The initial e- mails from Larry were helpful, friendly and offering advice. On arrival Larry's comprehensive review of our room and La Casa Lorenzo was the best welcome we have received anywhere. In the middle of the arid La Mancha plains, this 'road-stop' hotel/bar provided a comfortable and interesting experience for a couple of mature-aged Australians with little Spanish language. We had a larger room than most in the hotel. While the decor is aged, its quality is evident. The hotel staff have virtually no English at all but they were patient... More

This reviewer made a mistake. La Casa Lorenzo is located in Mérida, not "the middle of the arid La Mancha plains" which I believe is in Spain. It must have been a different Lorenzo :-) More

We had a truly great stay at La Casa Lorenzo. The ambiance of the B&B is really special with a great garden and beautiful tiled pool. Our room (#4) was large, well appointed and very comfortable. It's always a pleasure to socialize with delightful people like S & D. I'm glad you enjoyed Wayane"s as an alternative one day to breakfast at home. They are a favorite of mine.
