Stayed at Las Palmas for six nights. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is clean and very comfortable. I enjoyed the spacious rooftop deck in the mornings before it got too hot, and the second floor, shaded deck, in the afternoons. There are ample chairs and hammocks to use. Kate and Safari are great hosts and the friendly vibe...

Just returned from our fourth stay at Las Palmas. It's starting to feel like our home away from home. Such great people at Las Plamas on Isla. Great to see Kate, Safari, Dania and of course Tom and Darlene again. Hope to return again next year (or sooner).

Our first time at Isla Mujeres, and we had the great fortune of staying at las palmas. It made our vacation. Kate and Safari do a fantastic job. We were so pleased with our luck. it's very euro style in that you can get to know the other guests because a shared open court yard and roof top patio, (perfect...

This little hotel was perfect for my small family and me, we traveled for the first time with our 7 month old son. The rooms were average but very quaint. We were able to walk to the beach in 2 minutes or less. The small patio was very refreshing and we will definetely return to Hotel Las Palmas!!

We have vacationed on Isla for several years and have stayed at condos, an apartment, and a motel. Las Palmas has a warm, helpful, friendly staff. They have lived on Isla for many years. So they can and are willing to give you inside tips on where to eat, what to do, where to shop, etc. The beds are very...

I had originally booked Hotel Las Palmas because it sounded like a good place for a solo traveler. My husband doesn't like the beach or sand but it was so cold in NY he decided to go with me. We both loved Isla Mujeres and Hotel Las Palmas. I would go snorkeling and he would hang out at Las Palmas...

I have been to Isla Mujeres every year for the past 8 years and I have stayed at a number of hotels around the island. I plan on returning to Las Palmas next year and hopefully many more years to come. I really loved the social vibe of the hotel. Kate and Safari go out of their way to make...

This was my second time staying at Las Palmas. It is in a great location, great price and great owners. I have no complaints. You won't be disapointed if you stay here, unless you are looking for an all inclusive type resort. I will be back again someday!

As others have stated, this is an amazing place to relax and enjoy the sun. Kate and Safari are the most hospitable staff. They will go out of there way to accommodate you in any way like family. As they know everything about the Island and other tourist stops they have loads of knowledge to shares with all types of...

This was our first stay at Las Palmas and it was exactly what my family has been looking for in a home away from home kind of way. From the moment we stepped on the property Safari and Kate made us feel right at home. This may not be the place for everyone as some have commented. However, we really...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Las Palmas is your home away from home on Isla Mujeres, tucked away from the hustle-bustle of Cancun. We are a family run hotel (three generations of women, mother-daughter and grand-daughter). Naturally, our place is a very unpretentious accommodation with a casual, friendly atmosphere. We have many comfy communal areas, including a rooftop with a plunge pool. You'll find lounge chairs, hammocks, and tables with chairs to welcome you after a day at the beach - possibly an afternoon siesta. Our communal kitchen is also on the terrace and fully equipped. Our shaded deck on our second level, overlooking the street and is a great spot for people watching or reading a good book.We are located in the heart of the downtown. The beautiful turquoise of the Caribbean and powdery sand beach at Playa Norte are a block away (5 min walk). Just around the corner is Hidalgo Avenue, filled with cuisine from all over the world, live music, and friendly locals and tourists alike. We're directly across from the municipal market with four "loncheria" eating stalls, housing tasty, economical breakfast-lunch meals, as well as fresh squeezed juices. We have a hotel dog, Cachito (hypoallergenic, rasta-hair poodle) who is always ready for a stroll. ... more   less
