Hands down the best hotel stay ever!!! Even with everything going on with Covid-19, the hotel and staff made our party of 9 very satisfied guests feel safe. From the minute we arrived to the last second we left, it was the best stay we’ve ever had. The hotel staff alll wear masks and were constantly disinfecting and keeping everything clean and pristine. From Carlos and his crew at “The Top” bar to Caru, Amelia, and Franscica (Top Dancers), to Moni, Romero and all the waiters and waitresses at the hotel restaurant we had the best Covid Get-Away anyone could ask for. TIP BIG 💴 💴 💴, we did and they deserved it. Our rooms were super clean and you smell the sanitizer the minute you walked in and and each cleaning!!! To say, this is the best hotel stay ever, would truly be an understatement. Since I fortunately speak Spanish, I was able to speak to all the staff we came upon and we heard the same positive notes from all of them about how good the hotel owners have treated them even when the hotel was closed for Covid. The lengths that Hotel Belo is going to in regards to Covid is also very amazing. They are truly going above and beyond to make sure that their employees do not contract and bring Covid to the hotel and it’s guests. I am truly appreciative of all the precautions that Hotel Belo has instituted to make your stay feel as comfortable as humanly possible, especially during the pandemic. We bought the all inclusive stay which included top notch food and top shelf liquor.

Had a great stay at this resort- the photos don’t do it justice- it’s beautiful! We were greeted with cocktails and a super friendly staff. The rooms are all new and have all amenities, including shampoo, hair dryer, fresh sheets and towels every day, safe, robes, etc. We did the all inclusive option and the food is delicious. Ernesto was our server for each meal, and he was awesome and very attentive and accommodating with our large group of 10. The staff all wears masks and there is hand sanitizer around the hotel, so we felt very safe. You can walk to the Dolphin Adventure down the road which was a great day excursion. 80 degrees and sunny in February, can’t beat that for a winter escape!

The hotel itself is beautiful very clean the rooms are great and the food is very good for an all inclusive ! The major problem we had is the towel situation. We had 2 rooms 1 room with 2 people and 1 room with 3 people. Both rooms only got 2 towels for the duration of our 5 day stay. When we were checking out they checked our rooms and said we only had 2 towels in the 3 person room we explained we had been stuck with the same 2 towels the whole 5 days. They took the $150 dollar deposit for the room with 2 people because apparently there wasn’t 2 towels whatever it’s fine but they then took the $150 dollar deposit for the 3 person room because there was makeup on the wash cloth for your face. I have never ever had a problem with that in any country I’ve traveled or any hotel. They are white towels they can be bleached or simply thrown in the wash and they will be squeaky clean but instead we were charged 300 dollars for towels… so beware if you go to hotel belo bring your own towels so you don’t get charged !!

It was our first trip to Isla and we’d heard such good things about this hotel. We’ve been to various locations in Mexico and around the world, and try to do all inclusive whenever we can. I was very disappointed in this hotel. The staff are wonderful and the hotel is pretty and updated, but it’s clear that management is cutting back on amenities and a true all inclusive experience. The pool bar closes at 6pm. The rooftop bar closes at 8pm unless the owner and his guests are having a party- then it’s open to them until 3am so they are hooting and hollering and blasting crap music 1 floor above you with his guests partying outside your room. The food was ok, but the kitchen and waiters need some training. Several nights we didn’t even get our food. The food came out in shifts. 2 people at the same table would order the same exact meal and get them 30 minutes apart. This was NOT true all inclusive. We could only choose certain items from the menu. And don’t get me started on how slow they were to serve your drinks. We were purposely served slowly on our all inclusive plan because “we were drinking too much”. Literally at drink 3- they started slowing our pours. If they are so worried about losing money on my group (that was tipping extremely well), they should increase their prices and service! The poor waitstaff wanted to serve us faster, but management was pressuring them elsewise. The pizza oven was not fired up, the advertised swimmable beach was absolutely horrible! It was not swimmable, and if it had been, there was no snorkel or paddle board gear available to rent or borrow. The hotel wants everything paid for in cash (daily golf cart rental, snorkel and whale shark tours, tips, etc) but has no onsite cash machine. I’ve never stayed in MX and couldn’t use a credit card for my extras and excursions. This is a mediocre hotel masquerading as upscale and pretending to cater to all inclusive clientele. The staff are the only redeeming feature. I will not be back. I will let Southwest Airlines, who featured this hotel, know how bad my experience was here.

My friend and I stayed at the Belo for a few days as part of a two week trip to Mexico. We booked the Belo for a relaxing and more luxurious start to our holiday.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, but this was unfortunately overshadowed by a few issues.
We had booked the room as part of a half price deal as the hotel had recently opened. It looked nice initially but our room did not seem very clean. There was quite a bit of dust left from what I’m guessing was the building and decorating of the hotel. The bathroom in particular had hand prints all over it from what seemed like grouting and tiling work. Plastic packaging was also left in the shower. The floating wooden panel on the ceiling above the beds had footprints on it. As a brand new hotel you’d expect the rooms to be spotless.
The main issue was the quality of sleep we were able to have. There is a rooftop bar/club open to guests and the public (on the 5th floor) with a sound system you can hear all the way from the ground floor reception. As our room was 2 floors below the bar, we had to attempt to sleep with ear plugs as music went on into the small hours most nights. As somewhere that labels itself as a ‘luxury hotel’ it’s completely baffling that hotel management knowingly subject paying guests to uncontrollable and unacceptable levels of noise in their rooms. An entire hotel should not have to stay up as late as the last person at the bar.
With the rooftop bar operating in this way I would not recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay, which is a shame as the staff were great.

The hotel itself was nice & new. That’s where the positive aspects end.
The staff were pretty soulless, they offered no help when we had small issues.
The air con leaves the room extremely damp with condensation. Like super damp, wet floor, walls, bedding.
They play a horrendous variation of music all day. Totally killed hanging out at the pool for us!
And don’t rent their Golf Carts (needed to explore the island) they mark the price up by 80% from the rental companies in town and when the cart got a flat they were just rude and no help.
Pretty disappointing overall :(

Well I booked it as a all inclusive and I received a email from the hotel saying that it wasn’t included, when I arrival at the hotel my hotel room was not upgraded to a matrimonial room because of the misunderstanding from the website and from the manager ms.domingo promised us. I was offer a free romantic dinner in which I end up paying for the full price. Hotel management is terrible but their workers and staff members are great. But terrible management is very poor. And one day I was at the rooftop pool and they had a higher price for the food and drinks.

I went with my family and stayed during November. During a pandemic, the entire staff kept everything very safe and sanitized. However, the quality of service would make you forget that there was a pandemic. Lalo and Romero were two employees that stood out. They helped make our trip!

Aesthetically the hotel was everything I hoped for. The rooms were clean, spacious, and newly done. Someone on a snorkel trip said he thought it was the best looking hotel on Isla when we boated by it and I agree. The pool area, beachfront, and dining areas are all well maintained.
The service was amazing as well. The wait staff (Mariana and Candido), bartenders (Julio), and front desk staff (Rubi) were very friendly, attentive, and helpful to give me ideas for navigating the island. Those were the individuals I interacted with the most, Nancy and Fernanda were also very personable. The food was wonderful, especially the dinner menus, I think the Argentinian was the best.
The only feedback I would have since it is a newer hotel is to provide a good walk through of all the amenities or put some literature in the rooms. I did not realize there was a fitness center until the end of my trip and since I don't speak Spanish it was sometimes difficult to find out about common questions.

My husband, 10 year old son and I stayed at Hotel Belo in July 2022.
The hospitality was 100% and would hands down make us return again. Manuel (Hotel Manager) is doing a fantastic job of running the place. He helped line up a private yacht tour for us and made sure all was well every step of the way. His staff is amazing. Enoch and Mario get major props for their attentiveness. Overall, every interaction with the staff was positive.
The hotel is located in the southern end of the island, much quieter than the north end. There’s quick access to restaurants and bars.
Checking in was quick and simple. Our room overlooked the pool and ocean. The rooms were esthetic and comfortable. Not sure sure why the restroom doesn’t have a door. The shower is glass so anyone else in the room can see right through. Odd design but eh, we worked around it.
The beds are comfortable as were the pillows. The AC pumps some cold air.
Yes, there’s music playing all day. No, we weren’t annoyed by it. In fact, we love house music and EDM and enjoyed it all. There was a DJ party later on in the evening playing house music. Lots of younger party goers but that didn’t bother us.
10/10 recommend!

Hi JayDP1991! You can definitely ask the waiters for gluten free options for breakfast, lunch, snacks, & dinner. My grandma has several food allergies especially avocados and the waiters always informed the kitchen how to prepare her meals.♥️
