I didn't stay at the Hotel Barracuda but did go there for a bit from the cruise ship. This hotel/bar is just south of the downtown tier and very walkable. It's across from a large grocery store and just north of Margaritaville. They have a fresh water pool, sandy areas, many chairs, and reason drink prices (compared to cruise rates)....

Sadly this hotel made the business decision to rent most of the ocean front area in front to the bar which occupies the bottom floor. The pool, the grounds etc, are off limits to hotel patrons, but for a little corner of sand. The bar caters to day-leave crews from the many cruise ships that stop in Cozumel. The bar...

I recently returned from my second Cozumel trip. Each time I stayed at the Barracuda. I don't think the Barracuda is for everyone. You just need to know what you're getting into staying there and decide if it's for you or not. The Barracuda is not a resort, in fact it's far from it. The rooms are very basic. There...

I enjoyed my stay at the Barracuda - perfectly located with nice pool and pool area, pier like access to the sea and Paradise Divers Centre have a plunge pool, lockers and booking counter on site as well as boat pick ups from the Barracuda pier. Very convenient and accessible. The Barracuda Hotel itself offers very little other then the...

Very basic hotel, but great for divers. The rooms have everything you need, AC (though a little noisy), balcony with ocean view, fridge and ceiling fan. The No Name Bar offers good drinks and decent food in/at the pool.

I’m a middle aged man with 26 years of diving experience, I've been coming to Cozumel for years. The Barracuda is not fancy. But it is functional and convenient. This hotel is right in the middle of town and on the water. There is a short pier out back, with very easy access to your dive boat or the ocean!...

Great place to stay if you want to be in town and relaxed. We had a beautiful view of the ocean. We had a patio where we could relax and have a cocktail on our balcony .We had a car but you would not need one. Good restaurants in walking distance and a great grocery store/Mega store directly across the...

As a middle-aged woman diver, this is the hotel for me and my diving friends. For over 12 years I have been coming to this hotel for Cozumel diving. The hotel has 37 standard rooms and two kitchenette suites – a majority of the rooms have a Caribbean ocean view. Each room features A/C, ceiling fan, two double beds, balcony,...

For the money you can't beat this place. The view from out deck was great. My wife and I and our 17 year old son snorkeled off the hotels pier. We saw quite a few fish, we also seen a large yellow star fish, as we swam a little further out. There was a small plane about 30 feet down...

Stayed there last week. Hotel clean and close to restaurants (which are pricey) and city center. Loud during the day at the pool but if you keep your balcony door closed you can hardly hear the noise. When you check in and pay with pesos watch to be sure you are not charged more than you were quoted. They tried...
