Our room was large with very grand old furniture. It is a little dated, but it was comfortable and the food was excellent and well priced. The best feature of this hotel is the easy access to the Chichen Itza ruins - you can be on the archeological site at 8am with only a very short walk from the front...

Rooms are large and comfortable. There is a coffee maker, but no safe in the room. Good food is served at reasonable prices in the restaurant, which offers a wide selection of mainly Mexican wines, the Mexican ones being rather over-priced. It’s best to select a table as far as possible away from the musicians, who are good but so...

I am quite surprised to read your extensive audit of our property. I am happy that our remodeling is so quiet you did not even noticed. That is great news to me, for it has been a constant concern. We are 4 rooms shy of completing a total, naked down wall to wall and floor to ceiling remodeling of our...

If you have read very little of the Mayan civilization that inhabited this area, (which is the case with me), a visit to Chichen Itza will send you scurrying to the library to research this fascinating part of the world. Even one overnight at the Mayaland Hotel will whet your appetite for more. This impeccably appointed hotel with thatch covered...

We stayed at Mayaland for one night, as we toured the Yucatan Peninsula. The main thing to realise about the hotel is that it is next door to Chichen Itza, and has its own entrance, so is impeccably placed. And the advantage is that you can enter the site before the busloads of tourists arrive from Cancun etc. It really...

I am personally looking into your complaint on our front desk personnel. Sorry for the lack of interest shown to check you out expeditiously. We will correct that immediately. Thanks for your visit !

This review is mostly nothing to do with the stay at the hotel, but scamming tourists to buy Chichen Itza tickets at twice the price on highway 180. Here is what happened. We were a group of 8 driving in minivan from Cancun to Chichen Itza on highway 180. When we were 50 miles away from the destination, we saw...

I had posted a previews response asking you to kindly give more information, one I just deleted for I have spoken to our sales representatives and you were charged for not only entrance tickets (at cost, as this is a service we provide complete free of handling charges, for our clients convenience) but for all you care to eat buffet...

Along the same lines as some of the more critical voices here - just a great pity that the hotel does not take the points to heart but rather seem somewhat rude to the people who have spent time coming up with constructive criticism. Shame on you Mayaland... The hotel IS outdated. Don't say you have wifi if you don't...

I am sorry if you have not read my many responses to the fact that the Wi Fi offered is THE BEST our legacy (and all others..) are capable of providing in Chichen Itza. We have spend tenths of thousands of dollars in equipment to enhance the strength of their signal... to little avail. The service is free to our...

It's a lovely hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are big (we stayed in the main building with a balcony over looking the observatory at Chechen Itza - best seen from our full window in the bathroom!). Nothing is included and it's not cheap. You are in a tourist trap. But the gardens are lovely and the pools nice. Nice to...

Our first view of 'Mayaland' was a bit off-putting as workmen were doing something at the front and dust was blowing across, but as soon as you walk inside the house you realise it is a lovely part of the property. You then turn around and see the observatory framed in the doorway and you realise how close you are...

Many old wooden “louvres” leaked very badly, and let large amount of warm and humid air in...
