We had stayed in a bungalow years ago and decided to do it again and glad we did. We requested a bungalow away from the main hotel and activity and it was very peaceful and had a great pool nearby. Lots of tropical birds. Room had everything one might want and was close to a

We stayed here for 6 nights, using it as a base. We rented a bungalow room away from the main building. IT WAS FABULOUS. The room was very large, with a high thatched roof, clean and large bathroom, and a porch complete with hammock and chairs. The housekeeper was wonderful - he

Your wonderful review becomes very meaningful when written by a guest that stayed with us for 6 nights. THANK YOU. And yes, thanks for your smart input on our bicycles, which I take very seriously; We just hired outside help to maintain them in top shape; I will look into the situation ASAP. As for our internet..... God only knows the effort and huge expense we have undergone over years with our disastrous legacy carrier and the new comers... all to no avail. We are working to have a direct connection to the fiver optic cable that is located nearby.... working with archeologists (on our side) and a tremendous bureaucracy that moves at snail speed (against us...). Hopefully, soon, we will have world class signal all over our resort ! Safe travels. Hasta la vista !

This is a wonderful old hotel, beautiful buildings and grounds, even a resident peacock. It is walking distance from Chichen Itza Mayan Ruins, and only about a mile from Il Kan Ceynote. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the rooms and common areas were very clean.

Sorry, I don't know, as we were a group of 3 adults. But, the prices, in general, were very reasonable. The price of a guided tour with a very knowledgable guide was just $80 for the 3 of us for 3 hours. I would strongly recommend staying at the Mayaland Hotel, so you can enter the site in the early morning. (You can walk right into the site in 5 minutes.) The heat is pretty brutal at mid-day, and it's best to complete your tour before 11:00 am or so. We felt sorry for the people just arriving at 10am or 11am by tour bus. Brutal heat.

"A bungalow away from the main building"
"For accessibility, book Chichen rooms. All of the bungalows are central to dining, etc, and feel romantic and peaceful."
"I've loved staying in the hotel upper rooms and the bungalows. Get either and you'll be pleased as there is just so much to see."
"My favorite is rooms with a view of the ruins, but they can get noisy downstairs early in the AM. If you sleep in, maybe a bungalow?"
"Our room on the upper floor gave a treehouse feeling. Lots of birds and jungle to admire."
