We stayed at the Cancun Bay Resort for 9 days (Nov 26-Dec 4).The room was clean and nicely cleaned every day. There was a small fridge that was replenished with water, soda, fruit juice everyday. The resort is small but a perfect size. Dining options were great at Cancun Bay , especially for a small resort. By the larger pool (ocean side) there is a grill bar with burgers, hot dogs, nachos, fruit). at 11:30, the sushi bar opens by the quieter pool until 6 pm. Great sushi made on demand. The main buffet serves for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food was great to us, not like the food of a luxury resort but we find they make great efforts to keep it diverse. They have theme nights (Asian, bbq, carribean, italian, chef, etc.). There is a also a small restaurant - Italian - with more sophisticated dishes and presentation. Reservation is required bc it only has a few tables for a more intimate experience. There was a saxophone playing live. There is a also a room service menu. We ordered once and took the food to the outdoor patio. Selections were different (like a club sandwich) so that was a nice change. They charge $5 for room service but was really worth it. The employees are really what makes this resort the best. I would like to recognize specifically Emme, Garbriel, and the activities director Aaron. Never met our housekeeping attendant in person but was great. A great vacation. We will be back!

This should be a nice hotel, but when we arrived late at night we noticed a faint sewage smell throughout the lobby. When we arrived in our room, the smell was stronger, and when we flushed the toilet ... just wow. Like raw sewage wafting through the room. This was true in both of our rooms, so it was not a localized problem. The smell was so nasty we had a hard time sleeping and could not shower in the morning because the shower shared the same enclosed room as the toilet. The manager informed me that they, "Do not do refunds." Too bad your room and the hotel smelled like a sewer. But the manager did tell me, "We were not the only ones to mention this." Hmmm. Maybe do something about it then?

This is a business hotel that people confuse with a vacation hotel quite often. This place is meant for businesspeople traveling to the city without any plans to enjoy the city, but people are lured by the cheap prices and relative closeness to the attractions. So, don't come here as a tourist. You will probably not like it. As a work traveler, this place is probably ok. It's near most important corporate offices and breakfast is decent enough. Rooms are small, but maybe you don't really need anything else. Smells? In my experience they were there, but not constant and not insufferable.

We had been stranded by Westjet airlines and after many hours a kind local cab driver suggested we try this hotel. We couldn't have been happier. Great new hotel with very good services. Bedroom suites were spacious, clean and well-appointed, including a dishwasher!

Been to Cancun a few time and noticed this Hotel. This time I stayed here and was very pleased. From the Front Desk to Service workers, they were all excellent. Room was clean, big and relaxing. Hotel has an outdoor pool and a fine selection of Breakfast items. Located across the road from the Plaza Americas Mall.
