The Hilton Cancun is lauded for its spacious, clean, and modern rooms, although guests have called out issues with soundproofing and maintenance. While the hotel's cleanliness generally receives high marks, there are some concerns regarding the upkeep of both rooms and pools. Service at the resort is commonly described as warm and professional, yet instances of slow service have been noted. The secluded location offers a tranquil retreat, but it may not be ideal for those wishing to explore locally. The vibrant atmosphere is a hit, although the pool music's volume and authenticity have been points of contention. Despite the family-friendly amenities being a highlight, many travelers question the resort's value for money, pointing to overpriced extras and amenities that fall short of expected Hilton quality.

Beautiful resort. The best part is that everything is all inclusive. Went for business conference and truly enjoyed it. The staff upon arrival were a bit annoyed but who wouldn’t be with over 700 people checking in between two days! They forgot to refresh our towels once, but guess what? They immediately delivered towels. They work so hard here, and it is truly a beautiful stay, with the beach proximity for a beautiful view, and the fact that it is SO SAFE you cannot beat it. One thing here is that you pay for the secure location; and the facility working in great order; toilets, water, everything really really is hand delivered here to you. Room service, La Churreria was the best part too; churros, ice cream, great for kids. HUGE property!!!! I mean it’s literally built like a mansion. It’s nestled within a jungle; but don’t worry; it’s super safe because of the buildings structure and isolated from the main road so there’s no riff raft.
Two bedroom was great, luckily we were on the 7th floor and had the best view. We were not beachfront, but having the serene peaceful view of the trees was actually probably just as nice, i didn’t think once “we weren’t on the beach side”, lol!
Food is served at the all-inclusive buffet all day pretty much and it’s just an absolute dealbreaker. You get the best of all worlds here and have multiple dining options to choose from. The staff for the bellhop was great. Ramon was very helpful! Thanks Hilton! I usually stay at Marriott, so this was a nice experience. I love also that they honored the traditions of the land, as the taxi driver told us hilton did a great job with planning things to honor the land by giving a tribute to the culture.

We have just finished our 2-week stay here as a couple on our honeymoon from the United Kingdom. Overall, our holiday here was excellent and we truly enjoyed every moment! there were some minor issues which I have described in my review, but generally we had a fantastic time and id highly recommend this place.

LOCATION: this resort is quite isolated, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you are looking to venture out every day. It takes 10 minutes to drive from the hotel to the main road through the mangrove. However, this is exactly what we were looking for and I loved the peace and quiet. The views are lovely - one side of the hotel overlooks the huge unspoilt mangrove, and the other the ocean.

BEACH: the beach is clean and has nice fine sand, however the area does get sargassum (obviously no fault of the hotel!). they clean the sargassum up several times a day with a tractor, but it does float in the water and seemed to get particularly bad on our last day here. this didn’t bother us as we accept the sea will have seaweed, but it could be an issue if you are more used to pristine, clear waters.

POOLS: two really good pools and a splash pad for kids. be aware that there is no shade in any pool. there’s lots of chairs out by the pools, but they get claimed very early when the hotel is busy, so be prepared to go out to pick your chair at 7am or earlier! the staff around the pool are mostly very attentive at bringing you drinks and clearing away cups and plates.

FOOD: mostly really excellent with a decent amount of variety every day/night in the vela buffet. I didn’t feel like I was getting sick of it even after 2 weeks! the vast majority of food was really high quality and the food stands by the pool are also incredible, I’d highly recommend them (burgers, ceviche, tacos, quesadillas, nachos). The restaurants were also all very good, our particular favourites were la luce and auma.

DRINKS: so so good! much better than the drinks served in European all inclusive resorts, as they use actual brand name alcohol. the drinks served by the pools sometimes tasted quite watered down, like I had some that I could not detect a drop of alcohol, however the lobby bar drinks seemed better for this. they have no drinks menus, but you can order basically whatever you want and they will make it for you.

ROOM: decorated nicely and large in size. we did have an issue with our room when checking in as the sink plug was stuck and it would not drain at all, but we got moved immediately. I felt the room was always kept very clean (as well as the rest of the resort generally) and the housekeeping staff work hard. the balcony is nice. the air con worked very well, was quiet, and had no smell.

SERVICE: generally very good, the wait staff are very attentive at taking drinks orders and clearing plates. You can tip them but they are not pushy about this at all. I did make it clear when booking and checking in that we were on our honeymoon and the hotel did nothing to acknowledge this in any way, which is fine but would have been a nice touch - the guy checking us in also tried to make us pay for a room upgrade even though we had said it was our honeymoon and that our flight had been delayed by 9 hours and it was 4am, which I didn’t really appreciate! found it a bit pushy and inappropriate. on this note, the yachtlife staff are in my opinion far too pushy with trying to get you to book on their tours. on some days we were approached 3+ times by them trying to give us a sales pitch by the pool when we were clearly uninterested. we used the free shuttle into la isla twice - the first time was great, but on our second trip neither bus had any air con which I found unacceptable for a 30+ minute journey on a small bus filled with people, particularly for a service provided by a 5 star resort.

ENTERTAINMENT: the actual entertainment staff were good and ran fun poolside activities like volleyball. the evening entertainment varied in quality. some of the performers are highly talented, such as the Cuban band and the Mexican dancers, however the aladdin show and Michael Jackson show were not the best! ive definitely seen much better entertainment in European resorts. the amphitheatre looks very good and is a great space.

HOTEL: the hotel is pretty and well designed, however it does look a bit tired in some ways which I was quite surprised by given it is still relatively new. the pools are missing lots of tiles, though they are out repairing this almost every morning, and many of the tall ceilings on the ground floor are covered in damp and black mould around the air con vents. water also occasionally drips down from these. other than these relatively small issues, the hotel is kept clean and well presented; there are always cleaners walking around.

OVERALL: a great stay and would absolutely recommend for a couple or family looking for a quiet getaway in a pretty resort.

We went to Hilton Cancun, an All-Inclusive Resort for Thanksgiving from 11/26-12/02. We used a shuttle service for the quick 20min ride from the airport. We upgraded to the Oceanfront King Suite. It was a nice modern room overlooking the pool with views of the ocean. The room was spacious with all the amenities we needed, nice large balcony. The room had a water closet and a full bathroom, which was nice for having multiple people in the same room. The shower is HUGE with a rainfall shower head. We could have easily fit 10 people in the shower. The only issue with the room was the water took 15-20mins to get hot for the shower and wash basins. No joke, so plan ahead if you’re showering.

We were there for six nights and didn’t get to try all of the restaurants because it was a bit challenging to get reservations at a reasonable hour. We booked at Maxal the first night at the first available time, which was around 9PM and had a very strange experience. In the middle of dinner they stopped coming by our table. We’d ordered birria tacos that didn’t arrive, nobody stopped by to see if we wanted drink refills or dessert. The food we did receive was very good, but we ended up leaving and checked out the buffet for dessert. The buffet did not let down for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Bryan the concierge stopped by when we were in our cabana to ask how things were going so we let him know about Maxal and from that point on we were treated like royalty. Merari at reservations and Sofia with onboarding helped us get in touch with Israel and Pablo for our reservations.

Dinner at La Luce was amazing. Israel was our server, he was very personable and made excellent recommendations. The manager and head chef, Pablo and Ruben, came out to introduce themselves and check on our experience. They helped us get reservations at Aume and Maxal again at reasonable times. We met the manager of Aume, Pamela, and she was exceptional.

Of the restaurants that required reservations, La Luce was our favorite. The pasta with mushroom cream sauce was addictive and I wanted to eat the beef carpaccio every night.

We rented a cabana from Jesus Torres, he checked in with us to make sure things were going well. We had Alex, Cesar, and Olivia helping us at our cabana. Olivia was a standout throughout our stay. She was super attentive, very personable, and always had a smile on her face.

There is no spa onsite, but the Waldorf Astoria spa next door was an absolutely amazing experience. We almost booked a second massage because it was so good.

Aside from water taking quite a while to get hot, the only other thing I wish the hotel would look into is food service for cabana rentals. One of the pools was closed for cleanings and we were concerned about finding chairs, so we rented a cabana for several days. The service was excellent but it would be nice to be able to order food delivery similar to room service to the cabana as an extra perk, even if there’s an extra charge.

We had one little hiccup with Maxal and almost didn’t say anything when Bryan asked. I’m glad we did because they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing.

Me and my partner stopped here for 11 nights, it’s a beautiful hotel and staff are really friendly. There was entertainment on every night whether that may be a show, bingo or the club. Staff around the pool were always asking if you wanted a drink, Sosa is the best!! He was always bringing us drinks and is super friendly and would go out of his way for you. However, me and my partner were disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel and the maintenance of it, our hotel room wasn’t cleaned everyday we were here, the shower had mould in and my partner cut his toe in the pool due to loose tiles. People were not shocked at this as it had happened to a further 2 people whilst we were staying here and had happened previously before we got to the hotel. Throughout the week myself and my partner and others were picking up tiles of the pool floor to avoid anyone cutting themselves but of course you can’t pick up every single one and is also not our job to do so. The pool was probably the most dirtiest place, we woke up in the mornings and there was drinks left from the night before lying around, wet tissues on the floor and there was sick down the side of the pool where the water goes over on one of the days. However, the hotel is aesthetically pleasing and staff are super friendly, the beach is beautiful and you can do canoeing. The restaurants here are beautiful and waiters will change your food for you if you don’t like it, buffet has a range of food and is good for people who like trying different foods, however me and my partner didn’t fancy shrimp fajitas in the morning so we struggled on some days to find anything we enjoyed. It can get repetitive but we feel that’s the same anywhere with buffet food. Me and my partner done the Xplor park and a swimming with sea turtles excursion, i would highly recommend booking these through the hotel, it worked out cheaper and the days couldn’t have gone any better, they were amazing and would recommend to anyone to do.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Cancun All-Inclusive Resort and had an overall great experience. The resort itself is beautiful, with modern decor, well-maintained grounds, and a stunning beachfront location.
Rooms & Comfort:
The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed with comfortable beds and great amenities. The ocean-view room was definitely worth it, offering breathtaking sunrises right from the balcony. Housekeeping did a great job of keeping everything tidy and replenished.
Food & Drinks:
The resort offers a variety of restaurants, from Mexican to Asian cuisine, and the quality of food was impressive for an all-inclusive. The buffet had a great selection, and the à la carte restaurants provided excellent service and flavorful dishes. The bars served premium drinks, and the cocktails were well-made.
Pools & Beach:
The pools were beautiful and well-maintained, with plenty of lounge chairs and attentive service. The beach was lovely, though depending on the season, there might be some seaweed. The staff worked hard to keep it clean.
Kids’ Club:
One of the biggest highlights of our trip was the kids’ club. My 4-year-old son had an absolute blast and wanted to go back every single day! The staff was truly amazing—so caring, fun, and engaging. They organized a variety of activities that kept him entertained for hours, allowing us to relax knowing he was in great hands. It was such a relief to see him so happy and excited to return each day.
Entertainment & Activities:
There was always something to do, from live music and performances to water activities and fitness classes. The resort had a great balance of relaxation and entertainment for all ages.
Final Thoughts:
Hilton Cancun All-Inclusive is a great choice for those looking for a luxurious yet relaxed getaway. Whether you're traveling as a couple, with family, or in a group, it offers something for everyone. I would definitely return and highly recommend it, especially for families—our son’s experience at the kids’ club made our trip even more special!

I don’t even know where to begin with this review. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Dulce Castro (a Journey Ambassador for Hilton) who warmly welcomed us as Diamond members! She alone and others helped us book activities throughout our nine day stay along with all the restaurants. In addition, she would text us directly to ask how we were doing and if there was anything that she could do to make our stay even better! I am beyond thankful and happy that we chose Hilton. The hotel is magnificent and brand new! The rooms are gorgeous. We were worried that the glass would be see through to the bathroom and shower but they are tinted (so no worries there). The amenities and entire room was well designed with a balcony. There was a Waldorf Astoria/Conrad design feel which is nice! Plus, the bathrooms throughout the hotel were so beautiful and luxuriously made. Housekeeping deserves a thank you for the hard work they do. One of our rooms would be set up for the night, which included bottled water, dimming the ambient lights and special bed sheet adjustment in preparation for sleep. The normal housekeeping during the day was also superior. The floor would be mopped and everything organized. So nice! Beds were comfortable but pillows a little flat. There were two pools, one for adults and another for adults and kids with a designated area for kids water attraction. Restaurants were delicious and Vela (the breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet) was excellent. Plus there was an ice cream and churros shop along with mobile burger and taco stands throughout the hotel pool areas. The only downside of the hotel is the beach and water. Based on the location and weather, the water wasn’t very nice with ongoing seaweed. However, once the weather improved and the wind calmed down, the water would improve. There were jellyfish in the water for a few days when the weather was bad. Other than that, I 100% recommend this hotel! Hilton as a brand with the staff is excellent and definitely wanted my experience to be top notch!

Overall a great stay considering it was busy high season. Pluses: food was mostly good at all the restaurants, nice rooms, heated pool, fitness center and Kid's Club, New Years fireworks

The workout classes at the fitness center were the best I've experienced at a resort. Both David and Susie put on great classes - kudos to them. Requests for improvement: 45-60 minute classes instead of 30 minutes, more spinning classes offered, new yoga mats that are disintegrating, leave a sign outside on the terrace if you move classes inside as some guests were upset when they couldn't find the classes

Alejandro at the north pool bar made the best drinks. Ignacio at Maxal Mexican restaurant was our best server - very attentive and friendly. Requests for improvements: keep water glasses filled - odd that servers seemed inattentive or stingy with water, make sure food comes hot - food at even the steakhouse was often brought out cold.

Kids Club staff were all friendly and the space is nice and big. Requests for improvements: activities geared toward the 8 - 12 year olds, as most activities were very young. And/or flexibility to let the older kids do free play when they want.

Activity staff was also very friendly and did a great job. Volleyball was fun.

Tips for busy season:
- Book your restaurant reservations as soon as you arrive
- Reserve your pool chairs early in the morning
- Call and ask to have your room cleaned when you leave in the morning and request wash clothes if you want them or they might be cleaning it at 3 or 4pm in the afternoon
- Don't hesitate to take the stairs at the corners of the buildings because elevators can be slow.
- Enjoy the Churros - yum!
- Bring dollars for tips for hard working staff

Every staff member was very helpful and were all trying hard to make our experience as nice as possible. We had read all of the tips (book reservations early and ahead of time, reserve your pool chairs as soon as you can) and since we were traveling with a baby we mostly ate early before any of the big rushes. As nice as everyone was, the resort did not leave us with a good impression. The Kid's Corner was probably the best most consistent experience, with friendly engaging staff and plenty of varied activities. The bar staff were very accommodating (at any of the bars) and offered great suggestions.

My favorite food experiences were the Mexican restaurant and the taqueria/cevicheria. The Italian restaurant and steakhouse were fine but my wife got sick after eating, possibly from the Caesar salad at the steakhouse but it was impossible to tell exactly from where. The breakfast buffet was fine - for some reason there was only a smoothie station for one out of the 7 days we were there. Lunch and dinner buffet were disappointing due to obvious cost cutting measures and odd food selections that went mostly uneaten for entire meal periods (e.g., various composed salads that sat untouched).

The property offers a strong first impression; the design is striking. Upon further inspection you can see that there are a lot of small issues with the finishes. Room numbers are missing, signs are missing letters, walls have scuffs and damage from room carts and luggage, etc. Also the pools are missing tiles because guests pick them off, the splash pad has worn areas that are literally covered with rubber mats, and the various chairs in rooms and restaurants have stains that look old. The high chairs are in serious disrepair at the Italian and Mexican restaurants and the crib we were given wasn't even properly assembled (two wood joints were disconnected). The room ac worked as hard as it could but sometimes the floor was wet. The kids pool and splash pad were closed a lot of the time we were there due to weather or "hygiene issues" - that may not be under their control but be prepared for that.

Given the location and the price we paid, we expected more from a Hilton branded property. There are too many shortcuts taken in the name of "high volume" and "we're such a busy resort" but it didn't look fully occupied when we were there. I do not believe we will return since we've had more consistent experiences at other Cancun properties for the last 20 years. Perhaps the membership/timeshare model is necessary in order to keep up with the overwhelming necessary maintenance.

Wow, just wow
The hotel is amazing.
Yes, there are some issues with the pool tiles and like all air conditioning you can get dripped on with water.
However there are rarely queues at the bars because you can sit on a pool bed or in the lobby and the waiting staff will cone and serve you.
The staff are so friendly and were never rude, they are so kind and go out of their way to help you.
Special thanks to Cesear (chill pool), Veronica and Laura (lobby)
Special mention must go to Eva on reception who asked if we had anything to celebrate and because there was upgraded us to a swim up room which was amazing
No queueing to get towels as you just help yourself with no swopping cards or room numbers.
There was plenty of choice in the buffet especially if you like fish and seafood. It did get a bit samey after teo weeks but there was still things I hadnt tried. Staff bring drinks to the table so no bar waiting there either.
Room cleaning was done daily with towels changed as often as you want them.
Fridge refilled daily
We went to this hotel in low season and never had a problem getting a sunbed and there seemed to be loads. If you felt you had to there was an option to prebook beds but as this is a paid service we never bothered.
Restaurants we tried three
The Auma grill food was lovely and service was good but they seemed to be a little short of staff
The Italian, the starters were lovely but main courses were disappointing.
Mexican. For some reason the main course came whilst we were still eating the starter.
So I personally would onlygo to the grill and leave the rest.
I did not try the asian restaurant.

I had a wonderful time at the Hilton ! The staff were so friendly it made the experience amazing ! Special shout-out to Carlos at karaoke night, Juan our server by the pool, and Rigoberto our server in the buffet, who all made this experience unforgettable with their fun personalities, attentiveness, and kindness. The beach is wonderful and warm with a great pool and great facilities. Our hotel room was aesthetically pleasing although the washrooms could use some safety precautions. Adults with children should mind the heavy shower and bathroom doors. There are tons of activities in the evenings that provide exciting and interactive entertainment where the staff makes you feel included and hyped! The food and drinks were amazing, some of the best. The iced coffee at the cafe was one of my favourite drinks! The buffet has a wide variety of foods that are constantly changing throughout breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Overall this was my first experience in Cancun and I couldn’t be happier. The best part was definitely how wonderful the staff was. Every person we met greeted us with a smile and friendship. Carlos made karaoke night so special and managed to get the crowd pumped and singing and dancing, making everyone feel confident to go on stage. Juan was such a sweetheart, constantly thinking of us and going the extra mile with new fun drinks and delightful conversations . Rigoberto was so kind and thoughtful, never failing to give us a fist bump or an excited smile when he saw us. There were many more people to name for the great experience but everyone was great. I would definitely recommend your get away here.
