I am going to start with the positives in my experience here: The room was clean, beds were comfortable. Steak house & Italian restaurants were both very good (go get a reservation at 3 pm) MakiTaco was delicious as was the La Placita had the best tacos and you could eat there by the pool. If you have a bird phobia; you're going to be bugged by begging crows, pigeons, and peacocks. It really is sad because the peacocks looks terrible. I assume from eating all the chicken nuggets all day long. On-site Covid test was pretty simple except we had to figure out the location on our own as no one at our check-in desk was helpful. Now the bad: If this was my first all-inclusive experience I probably wouldn't have such a bad taste about this place. But having been to several in the area this was just sub par at best. We booked it on a weekend special and quickly learned we got less than what we paid for. 1. Customer Service: ABSOLUTE CRAP! At check in there was zero explaining of the different bands or even showing around the resort. It was here is your room key and that's it. If it wasn't for Paco our AMSTAR rep we would have been lost every day. Nothing is clearly marked. 2. The buffet & hippie shack were the worst food I have experienced in a long time. 3. Take your own cup, the bar (which we had to walk to and wait in long lines every time because there was zero wait staff there) was constantly out of cups. When you saw how they "cleaned" them, you wish you had your own cup! Especially midst a pandemic! 4. Red Kinky is fun but get there at 8:30 because by 9 there was a long line and most everyone standing in it never got in. Drinks outside Kinky cost, drinks inside do not. 5. The grounds were trashed a good 70% of the time. It looked like leftovers from a frat party most of the time. It rained and water was dripping from ceilings in every building and restaurant we went into. 6. The people with the "Party Staff" shirts on were anything but, they were just salespeople for excursions. 7. Take a Bluetooth speaker and make your own party! We made the best of our 5 days here and you still have the great beach and gorgeous view. Just beware this is a budget class hotel at best.…
My favourite buffet was Tun Kul and (thanks to Ignacio Fernandez in the omelet section) great service and super clean place. There are many restaurants in this resort so you can diversify your meals. So to summarize, grand oasis Cancun it's not the most luxurious resort, however, there's good value for your money indeed.
My wedding was a dream. I enjoyed every moment from start to finish because Danna my wedding cordinator made it so easy for me. 5 stars to you and the wonderful employees who made our wedding day a success. If I could leave more than 5 stars I would. Jijuan and I would like to thank you and the team personally my guest my family my friends were so impressed with the service, the food, the decorations, the attention to detail, the fact that you made it so simple for everyone and went above and beyond to make it so nice I can't thank you enough! A million thanks to all of you for making our day one of the best and most special of our lives. You can be sure that we will return to the hotel in the future. Have a nice day!
My sister and I really enjoyed our vacation. The staff was very friendly. Paco in the lounge really helped us out,Ruth and Alan was very helpful and knowledgeable about any questions we needed answered, Rene the bartender was a excellent bartender,Dianna the massage therapist was really good at the spa,Rosa the house keeper was nice and did a wonderful job cleaning the room. We enjoyed our time here.
This was my first solo vacation. I must say I had an amazing experience. Thank you Juan for always making the reservations for me and letting me know which places are nice to visit. Thank you Mariano and the life guard crew for taking me to see the turtles and let them off in the water. I know that I am not mentioning everyone here but I am very grateful that I met all of you. The staff at Mole and the buffet are the best. They already knew my order before I say anything and knew which was my favorite table. Finally, Paco, I really enjoyed the conversation, the cabana and the champagne 🥂. Amazing resort, amazing food, and remarkable service!
