Just got back from a week-long stay at the Baccara..The hotel itself was beautiful, truly a taste of old-world Mexico nestled in the bustling hotel zone...The pool was amazing and always warm and there was never a problem getting a chair pool-side..Conuelo and Juan provided exceptional service as our pool-side bartenders..The only thing that I could say that was not...

I found this hotel on cancun.com. I have been going to Cancun since 1990. This hotel is just lovely. The staff could not have been kinder or more attentive. I have been to supposedly finer hotels on the strip and had terrible difficulties with the staff; repeatedly by room service, at one in particular. Consuela was our bartender and simply...

Nice hotel, stayed there for only one night prior to going to a timeshare for a week. The hotel is right in the middle of the tourist strip and there are plenty of services available. It is small, only 25 rooms or so. The pool is very nice with a swim up bar. The beach is beautiful. The red warning...

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for several nights right before Hurricane Dean. While the other reviews have already mentioned this I will reiterate that this is not a hotel you would stay at if you want to be pampered etc. But we didn't want that, we wanted to actually have some sense that we were in Mexico...

I have just returned from a holiday in the Avalon Baccara and I have to say it is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Not just for the fantastic beachfront location but also for the staff and the genuine friendliness they show to all their guests. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they greet you always...

We went here for our honeymoon from May 29-June 10 and let me tell you that I never want to go anywhere again. This is one of the best resorts I have ever stayed at. Just to let you know I am a concierge and I researched this for months to make sure we were choosing the best place to...

This place has many mixed reviews. I think I would have liked it more if we had stayed there the first night and not the last (after staying in Playa del Carmen, Akumal, and Chichen Itza). We had a two bedroom suite for five people. I used my Spanish to try and convince the staff to get us into an...

We were celebrating our 20th anniversary. We booked a week at the Avalon Grand. Upon arrival, we found out they were overbooked. Disappointed. They said we could stay at the Avalon Baccara. Ok, we said, lets go... To make a long story short. WOW. This is the Mexico we were looking for. The staff is friendly. The hotel is clean...

We stayed at the Avalon Baccara for four nights in early July. Our group consisted of two mid-fifties parents, two late twenties adult children, and a friend. We booked a two bedroom ocean view suite and were given one on the first floor . The suite had a kitchen, living room, dining room, two bedrooms, and two baths. An extra...

This place is the perfect setting for couples, large family trips and just about everything else. The staff was awesome and could not ask for better service. Thanks Daniel, you were the best! I personally booked four rooms of all different sizes (1 studio, 1 one-bedroom and 2 two-bedroom suites) and loved them all. We travel from Texas to Cancun...
