Had a blast here. Stayed 5 days 4 nights. All Inclusive and a very modern comfortable resort. Extremely fast wifi, very comfortable bed and the awesome jacuzzi in our balcony. The only complain I had was not about the resort. The waves were too big so you cant swim in the ocean. That's it. I would definitely recommend and would stay again.

We came to this resort when it opened in 2019!! Wow, it was amazing!! Not so this time… First of all, we were traveling with our 2 daughters and their boyfriends so we had reserved, through our travel agent, 3 rooms! When we arrived, the hotel had canceled 2 of our rooms. Not happy!! After at least an hour of waiting, Angel at the reception managed to get us 2 rooms. We want to thank him for his professionalism and courtesy. He was very polite and friendly. Unfortunately, since these rooms were not officially reserved for us, we did not get the full 5star experience (no turndown service, no water bottles etc.). We had to call room service a few times to get what we wanted. After a few days, we asked Angel about the turndown service and he fixed the problem immediately. It was o.k. after that. As for the rooms, they were as nice as the first time. They need a little refreshing but they have more than what we needed! One of the rooms had no hot water for the hot tub and another room had no drain plug... All the restaurants are as wonderful as our first time. The food is amazing but some of the staff seems to be new and unexperienced. They don’t know the menu so they write down your choice (that was not the case on our first visit). Several members of the staff do not understand English (also not the case 2 years ago). We used Google translation a lot!! Everyone was very friendly however. The house wine (included in the stay) was awful (again not the case before). We ended up buying 2 bottles of wine at the last dinner because we couldn’t stand it anymore. The hotel is very clean and well decorated. Needs a refresh because some of the furniture needs to be replaced and the walls need to be repaired and repainted but not too bad! The worst is the beach and pool chairs. Many are broken or dirty. Not a big problem but still…It is supposed to be a 5 star hotel!! We would like to thank the staff for a great vacation all in all especially the following: Pedro at the American bistro (very good by the way), Marisa at the buffet (Barca restaurant) she was always sweet and all smiles every morning for breakfast, Irving & Gursen at the pool (entertainment team), Claudia, Rosa and Fernanda, waitresses at the pool and beach. They were very efficient and did not need to write down our orders. The staff at the Italian restaurant, they were 4 at our table so the service was amazing. Finally, the aqua aerobics & yoga on paddleboards instructor (didn’t get her name), she was very good! We will return, but post-covid, since we think that some of these points were caused by covid. At the moment, I would not rate this hotel a 5 star.

Spent 6 nights 7 days. Resort is very good but not excellent. Staff was courteous & food was good, beach very nice but overall the resort doesn't have the Wow factor. Decor is cheap, pool loungers are on the cheap, elevators small and hallways have a musty smell. This is a 4 star not a 5 star resort.

I want to give Coral Level 5 stars, I truly do. Missed that high mark, but oh so close due to the excellent staff, entertainers, amenities, value, our beautiful corner suite— all marvelous. Each day we agreed that our expectations had been exceeded in each of these respects. Guests clearly come here to relax. Not a drop-it-like-it’s-hot party scene, but definitely a fun atmosphere. Iberostar Group is very good at what they do. We commend them for how prominently they showcase protecting the Oceans. (Sadly, single-use plastics seem to confound so many Westerners, which is why it is so important the practice is reinforced in locations frequented by Americans). // Here are our caveats (and more compliments!) geared towards first timers like ourselves: 1) There are 2 separate, but not separate? hotels on the property. No distinction indicated when you book via Trip Advisor (one side welcomes kiddos and Coral Level doesn’t). Our cab driver was confused about where to drop us, and the porter who greeted us asked us questions about our reservation we couldn’t answer. (Are we at the right hotel?) We relaxed into it, but we were pretty lost that first day/night. We learned from other guests what was not clear at check-in: 4 restaurants, the spa, swimming pools, bars with the best drinks, and the nightlife were all situated on the grounds of the “other” hotel. A 5-10 min covered walk, or open air pathways, oceanside. CL guests have access to it all. A “You are here X” chat up front would help newbies get their bearings :-) We didn’t anticipate the transition to a membership sales pitch once handed our key. (Actually, it’s a stylish wristband with fob charm in lieu of key, which was super convenient). Not unusual, we’re just not in the market. 2) Air quality indoors. Thankfully, masks are required, bc the smell of mold coming off the elevator is a punch to the face. Our hearts sank when we ran to let fresh air into our gorgeous suite. We wanted to tolerate it and stay put, but it was just too thick to breathe w/o balcony door open. They couldn’t move us until next day, so we aired it out all day & night, and by morning it was tolerable. (Mgmt, change the AC filters more often, I beg you). Interior design is choice, stylish, not tired, seashell-chic. Our bed was super comfortable; luxurious bathroom; the view, stunning. 3) Last but not least, le cuisine. The buffets at Barka (the sole restaurant at CL) is their best offering by far. Fantastic, something for everyone. The Mexican fare comes in second. (Waitstaff, chill my friends, you nearly killed it w/ your persistence to buy MEX vino). Cannot recommend the other dinner spots. It was rough at times trying to find a good bartender. Swim-up bar at CL & main lobby next door are your best bet. Go, visit, take your friends! We would stay with them again.
