The staff have been an incredible help, the resort was an incredible experience. Got drunk, good deal on excursions and beachfront views. Only negative is the beach itself but the pools make up for it. Highly recommend

My husband and I traveled here for a friends 30th birthday. We stayed in a garden view swim out room. It was a little frustrating when we first arrived, as the resort won't allow you to take your own bags to the room, so you have to wait until someone is available to deliver them. Once we arrived in the room we noticed our doors (bathroom door, closet door and toilet door wouldn't stay closed (they are large sliding wood doors). We told the bellboy and within 10 minutes maintenance was there fixing the issue. Halfway through our stay we noticed that our screen door was off the track and unusable, we never contacted maintencance about this issue though. The room had a lot of cool amenities like a 'secret door' for room service and light's you press to alert staff to whethe or not you want your room cleaned. The resort has a good number of restaurants and food options. The breakfast and lunch buffets always had a great selection of food. The coffee shop was great for an afternoon pick me up. I was overall underwhelemed with the food offered, although nothing was bad. We has Several AMAZING experiences with staff. Angel at the pool bar was there our entire stay and took amazing care of us. Miguel at the lunch buffet and Vora Mar really helped us out. We spent most afternoons relaxing in the pool and playing beach colleyball and most nights watching the shows at the Moons nightclub then dancing the night away afterwards. I would definitely recommend this resort for couples and low-key events. It is not a party resort.

Room:  SERENITY CLUB JUNIOR SUITE OCEAN FRONT #120 Must book Serenity club room, if you go to this resort!  It's worth it. Request a corner room for a wrapped balcony. Building 4 is a more convenient location, but 1 is very quiet. We got jagugie on the balcony, and it was very nice. But we would like to try a swimout next time. Restaurant Overall, Food is ok, not too great but not horrible, hit and miss, except "Vistas". #1 "Vistas" exclusive for serenity club. Best food in this resort. We go there for breakfast and lunch almost everyday. The view and all the food are very good. "Mango and shrimp salad" is my favorite, ask for extra shrimp. Service is a little slow, so if you are in a hurry, don't go there. Waiter at Vistas: Angel is the Best. He took care of us very well. #2 "Agua Vendita" Good place for meat lover (not me), big potion.  Plantain stuffed requeson(fried banana, cream cheese inside)  was my favorite. Picanha beef is good. Grilled shrimp and corn were awesome!  All of Staff are so friendly and nice.  Especially the Bartender,  Abraham. He is the BEST bartender in this resort. We go there just get his drink and dessert at the bar sometimes. Ask him Espresso martini as a dessert or with dessert. They can make all 3 desserts in one plate. Best Waiter: Angel and Migel. #3 "Olio" Mediterranean 1st time was great, everything so amazing but not so good the 2nd time, even the same food tasted totally different. Food presentation was  pretty and the restaurant had a romantic atmosphere. Big disappointment for their desserts, hope they change dessert . #4"Satsu"  Asian fusion Spicy Edamame and fish and Veggies tempura are good! Gyoza is good but it's more like dimsum.  Sushi is ok. Teppanyaki(hibachi) was very disappointing to us,  but other people we met loved them, and went several times so... it depends I guess. I read that Robata-yaki is awesome, but we didn't like it.  Well, I'm Japanese so maybe my standard is too high for Asian food. #5 " Vora Mars " Italian Not too bad, but nothing special. #6  buffet Food is not too bad, lots of choices. For people who have a sweet tooth Dessert #1. Vanilla gericalla at Agua Venita. #2. Matcha cake in Satsu #3. Ice Cream with berries at Vistas #4. Gelato al Caffe #5. Nutella crepes at Vistas(only breakfast) #6. Mini cakes at Caffe My biggest disappointment was Coffee. Not great in any place, even at Caffe. Drinking coffee in a room with a Nespresso machine was the best way to do it. We brought creamer from home. Activities Yoga by Anna Kirse I loved her Yoga class. They do Yoga at Spa deck, under the shade so it's breezy and not hot.Very peaceful. Her Yoga is very relaxing but if you request she can give you a challenging class. Spa 30 mins free thermal spa for Serenity club, everyday.  Highly recommend to pay $19 for upgrade to 50mins, at least once. They take you to a dry sauna, cold bath, steam sauna, aroma ice  and shower, and then go through a jet warm bath. End with a mini neck massage. If you are looking for a party, this is not for you. Haven is more quiet and relaxing. Everywhere is so beautiful and peaceful. Staff are so nice, polite and friendly. I notice a big difference compared with other resorts. (we went 2 different resort for a day pass) Only con is... sea weeds. Full of seaweed on the beach so we couldn't even get in the water. And water looks brown because of seaweed. But they have two big beautiful pools, plenty of cabana and lounge chairs so you don't need to fight to find a place to relax like other resorts.

Room Tip: Maybe it's better to avoid Seaweed season.

After arriving in Cozumel to discover that our reservation did not exist, we spent the night at a sister resort that was not very good. Early the next morning, I discovered an opening in a poolside room at Haven Riviera at an amazing discount and jumped on it! We had a less than desirable adventure traveling there from Cozumel but once we arrived, we were blown away by the resort! The modern architecture, amazing pools, and (most importantly) the AMAZING STAFF was nothing short of spectacular! Shoutout to Angel Liborio, part of the concierge team, who took such wonderful care to see our trip improve in ways we didn't think possible after the first debacle!! Of all the places I have been, this one tops the list of places I dream of returning to!

We just returned from spending four days at The Haven for a girls' trip, and it was AMAZING! I have been to Cancun a number of times and stayed at a lot of all-inclusives, and this was hands down my favorite. Food - incredible! I've never stayed at a resort with terrible food but have definitely had my fair share of mediocre food. Everything we ate at The Haven was delicious. The breakfast buffet was great with tons of variety and also quite a few options of made-to-order egg dishes. We also had room service breakfast one morning, and it was delivered timely and hot! The lunch buffet was also really great. Food was all fresh and hot and a lot of variety. We had lunch the first day at Mistral. It was good, too. The ceviche is a MUST for a refreshing, light lunch. And the fresh guacamole available everywhere can't be missed. Dinners - we had dinner at the Agua Bendita, the Mexican Steakhouse, the first night and everything we had was delicious. Dinner at Vora Mar, the Italian, was also a favorite. We all had pasta dishes, and the pasta is handmade. Definitely don't skip this one! Our last night was dinner at Olios, the only restaurant where you need a reservation (book it early. It's small!). It started off rocky because a few of my friends had flip flop style sandals on, and they were not going to let us in. But they said no plastic flip flops allowed so we showed them they were leather sandals and got to enjoy dinner. This place was incredible. We sat at the large table by the kitchen, and watching the chefs plate and their attention to detail was really awesome. Again, food was just perfect. I had the beet salad here, and I honestly think it was the BEST thing I ate the whole trip. The little coffee bar, Mocaccino, was great! The coffee here even at breakfast was so good - nice and strong! :) Service - the service was TOP NOTCH! We had the best bartenders - Houdini and Sergio - at the Serenity. They were both great, and Houdini was literally a bartending magician. :) He was quick and fun!! Olivia was our poolside server, and she was just wonderful. Her attentiveness was great, and she took such great care of us all. One of my friends left her flip flops under a bed by the pool, and Olivia went above & beyond to find them for her! Jarlin & Marilou also made sure everyone was taken care of. The front desk staff was wonderful, too, and made sure we had everything we needed at any time. A few of us got massages at the spa, and that was also very relaxing and a great massage! Our days were spent just chilling poolside or on the Bali beds on the beach which I loved were included. Some resorts require you to rent them, but not here! The beach was beautiful! Lots of seaweed, but that is expected right now in Mexico, but they did an amazing job of cleaning it up. Our second day there, there was no seaweed to be found on the beach! We went to several of the shows. They were entertaining, some kind of silly, but it reminds me cruise ship entertainment. We stayed after for the DJ and dancing and had a blast. It's definitely a relaxing resort and you can do a LOT of that, but there were also definitely some party times, too, if you want to do that. I love the fact this is about 20 minutes or less from the airport so you don't spend forever in a van to get vacation started. You would never know it was so close to the airport because it was so peaceful. Our room was in building 2 and we LOVED the swim out and the views. I will definitely be back!!! I really have zero complaints. We did not do the Serenity Club and besides top shelf liquor and access to Vistas food, I don't really know that I would upgrade because we honestly had amazing service without it.
