If you're in Veracruz, and sadly many tourists are bypassing it, treat yourself to a splurge at the Gran Hotel Diligencias. Truly a 5* hotel. Free valet service - a boon if you're driving. Hotel didn't seem at all full which is probably why we...More

There is a website. Just google Gran Hotel Diligencias and look for one that starts gran-diligencia. One is in Spanish and another is in English. You can do it online. There was no phone number. I can't remember where I got the phone number and don't have it anymore. Maybe I emailed them and they replied with it. But you might need some Spanish to communicate. Ask for a view of the Parque (Plaza).
We found Veracruz safe and we are both over 70. The hotel is right on the parade route, at least it was for at least one of them. View the parage from above the street on their second floor terrace overlooking the park.
