The service and hospitality here is phenomenal. I travel a lot for work and anytime I'm in Veracruz this is always the top choice. Jose Manzo takes care of all of our needs and goes above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and stress free as possible. Futima is amazing as well.

the water temperature of the delicious pool, they allow you to enter until late (10 pm), gym, playground for children, good attention from their staff (for the most part, the waiter in the pool area did not have very good attitude, but he was the only one) the assigned room was a superior standard (first floor, two double beds, partial sea view and view of the Venustiano Carranza lighthouse) the noise from the street and the trucks that pass behind were worrying, but the room It seems to be soundproof as the noise did decrease quite a bit, it didn't disturb our dreams.
The only observation that is made to the hotel is the area of the shower and bathroom, both are reduced, the drain of the shower is covered so it was necessary to remove the lid of the strainer since otherwise it would flood and the water leaves the shower area, they forget to leave you a rug or towel for the bathroom floor so it is dangerous.
Something similar with the shower and the mixer, it was difficult to regulate the intensity with the temperature of the water (a lot of water came out but hot, and little water but cold) as for the shower it is very old, it lacks maintenance, the jet it provides is irregular, I think they change it to a normal shower where all the jets come out evenly.
Reception had to be reminded of the towels for the floor and hands since they did not leave them when they cleaned the room.
It seems to me that all the rooms have a balcony, which is great for having a coffee at any time of the day.

We stayed at Hotel Emporio Veracruz with a group of people.
Our experience was excellent, the service of each and every member of the hotel team was outstanding, especially our executive, Ms. Diana García García, who was always attentive to us with great efficiency but above all effectiveness.
As for the hotel, its facilities are very pleasant and comfortable, its location right on the dock from where you can see the fortress of San Juan de Ulúa and the coming and going of the large cargo ships is unbeatable, very close to the main square but away from noise.
The breakfasts were delicious, especially the freshly baked bread.
Very comfortable beds and clean and cozy rooms.

I had high expectations about this hotel, because of the price and because I had been here years ago, before it was remodeled, but unfortunately, I was a little disappointed.
The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is right on the malecon, across the street from the La Parroquia Cafe.
We made reservations on booking, and at check in we were offered to upgrade the room for $500 more per room. We accepted, and got two adjacent rooms on a very nice floor with a fabulous view, as the receptionist told us.
Our rooms had in fact a great view, but, our windows were so dirty, we couldn’t appreciate the views. Also, the wrap around balcony had dirty floors and the outside walls of the hotel were filthy. Our mirror in the bathroom wasn’t clean either.
I feel like they just cleaned the glass with a damp cloth, instead of using a cleaning product like windex. Also, on the outside walls, they could just pressure wash them, to make them clean.
Our beds, while they had clean sheets, were not very comfortable, pillows were too flat.
They have live music at the lobby on Saturday nights, and they also have happy hour then. It's a cool thing to do...

The receptionist Ivan made our check in very smooth and was very friendly and helpful whenever we had questions and needed assistance with anything. A true ambassador for the hotel.
We had som issues with the air conditioning in the room, but maintenance personnel took care of that right away.
The gym was good and kept a relatively high standard.
The room service was taking a bit to long time and it became many orders that did not arrive as ordered. Some room service personnel was actively asking for tip, which I find very rude.
The overall condition is not in 5-star standard.
I would not recommend this hotel for none-Spanish speaking guests. It was only a few of the people working there that spoke English.

Emporio is easily the nicest hotel in the Veracruz area and the view over the Malecon is stunning. We travelled for work for a two week stay with our 8-month old Son, and the staff on the desk and in the restaurant really went out of their way to look out for him and welcome him over the Dia de Los Muertos period.

big thanks to Omar in particular who really made our stay. He has an exceptional attitude to customer care, and is one of the best hotel hosts we have met in 20 years of travelling. He obviously really cares about the guests’ experience, and ensured we were happy and safe for the duration of our stay. When he booked a late night cab for us one evening, he even kindly provided his personal WhatsApp in case of any issues - amazing.

Kudos to the team, and thanks for making us feel so welcome

The quality of service has gone down. I booked a room for 5 nights on their official website, I selected the room that included buffet breakfast, I called the customer service area to corroborate the information, and my surprise was that when I arrived at the hotel they did not respect the buffet breakfast included. . Only at reception did they tell me "that always happens with the page and the telephone service area, they are other costs." Also, one day a huge cockroach fell on the bed from the air conditioning in our room. At reception they only commented "how disgusting". Cleanliness needs to be improved in all areas, as well as putting the hotel in agreement with the customer service area. We had previously stayed at this hotel and this had never happened to us.

This hotel is a total shambles. No organisation at all

We arrived back at the hotel at 10:30pm after 10hrs at work. To find the room not made up it was totally stinking from the wet towels left all day in the heat.
Horrible.
When called to reception they put us on hold for 23 mins. A total disgrace to a such nice hotel

I have been going to Veracruz for many years. The Emporio is the only Hotel I stay at now. I get a nice "clean" room with a view that I love. One of the main reasons I have chosen the Emporio is because I do not speak Spanish. During my stay I can always find someone that can help me. I also want to personally thank Jose Manzo for his continuing outstanding service to me. He helps me with my reservations and whenever I need something he is there to help. During my last trip he helped me straighten my lost luggage issue out at the airport.
I also want to note that the hotel restaurant is always easy and fast for me. I like room service and I always find the service good. I really appreciate when Don is the server. He remembers the small things that I want, like butter for my bread and the special sauce they serve with the shrimp.

They have a free “breakfast” of sweet bread and coffee in the lobby area. But if you’re looking for a heart Breakfast, then I’d say it is not included. However, they have a very good buffet for a very reasonable price in their restaurant.
