This is the best B&B you're going to find in San Cristobal. Or Chiapas. Or Mexico. Maybe the world. The moment you step through the big wooden door that leads to Bela's courtyard, you know you're in for a treat. The garden is beautiful, the rooms are cozy and comfortable. Breakfast is fruit, granola, yogurt and fresh-baked bread. Eggs too,...

Bela makes everyone that comes to her B&B feel right at home. As soon as you enter the door, it is like you are family. Fresh, delicious, and healthy home cooked meals are served daily. There is always great conversation going in the dining room. The garden gets more beautiful every time I go back. Each room has a unique...

The most wonderful part of being at Bela's B&B in San Cristobal, Chiapas is that, even though you are far from home, you are at home. That is the kind of warm atmosphere created in this beautiful setting. Bela, and everyone who works at her B&B, make sure that each guest feels special and welcome. The rooms are comfortable, with...

I travel to San Cris 1 or 2 times a year and I prefer to only stay at Bela's B&B. It is a place I can relax, sleep well and enjoy other interesting travelers. Bela’s B&B is located in a quiet part of town, yet only 4 blocks away from the Zocalo and very close to the beautiful church and convent of Santo Domingo and its lovely handicrafts market. The whole place and has a welcoming, casual and relaxed atmosphere and is beautifully appointed with Bela’s handpicked local ceramics and textiles. Her little furry...

I really enjoy being in San Cristobal de Las Casas in Chiapas, Mexico! The community is diverse and possesses a significant level of indigenous population holding true to their unique qualities. The historic indigenous and Hispanic architectural landmarks offer endless glimpses over the past hundreds of years. There truely is more than one can see and do here quickly. If...
