This hostel is located a 10 minute walk from the main square. This was nice as it meant you could escape the business of the town. The hostel is well kept and has a nice roof terrace and lounge area where you could light a fire. We had a double room which was quite small but had more than enough...

I recommend this hostel. It has very colorful rooms with beautiful paintings. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is free wifi. At morning you get toasted bread with jam and cheese in the shared kitchen. It has a beautiful garden court and there live kolibris. If you get lucky you can make a nice picture. The hostel is not...

This is a very cozy and comfortable hostel with typical handicrafts and ornaments all around the place. Very calm and cheap and you can count with the kind help and tips of the personnel. It is located about 7 minutes walking from the main square and cathedral and 3 mins from the ex convento de Santo Domingo--which, by the way...

We arrived at 6am from the Oaxaca bus and Alex let us into our room straight away which was awesome! He was so respectful of people sleeping and was whispering and told us it was important everyone had a good sleep. There was a beautiful room upstairs for relaxing with cushions and couches and a lovely garden below. The shared...

I was so blessed to discover Hostel Quia! I first visited for a few nights with my 9 yr old daughter and we decided to return after only two nights away because we missed it and my daughter got sick, so we needed a safe comfortable place to rest her and heal her. Alex, (he runs the place) was very...

I spent about 5 weeks at Hostel Qhia, and couldn't have been happier there. I loved practicing my Spanish with Alex and asking him about the area. He's very sweet and knowledgeable, and became a friend during my lengthy stay. Mercedes, who prepares the coffee/tea, fresh bread, jam and pico de gallo in the mornings also helped me feel at...

I stumbled upon this hostel after visiting a few others in town that were not very appealing. The private room was comfortable, though we had no windows. The roof terrace and lounge area was the best. Breakfast was always sufficient if not filling. I stayed here 4 or 5 nights, every day meeting some other new interesting travelers. I recommend...

I booked a private room for 2 nights based upon the positive reviews on trip advisor and was looking forward to my stay. On arrival I was shown the private room options - neither of which were particularly appealing. Both rooms felt dirty and the bedding had seen better days.
