We stayed at La Casona for 4 nights, and the staff made it a welcoming place and pointed us to terrific dining spots and shopping locations. They also arranged a private tour to several markets/ villages in the surrounding valley so that we got a great overview of the local culture and life. Very lovely and we recommend it highly!

The hotel is filled with high quality contemporary Mexican art. The rooms are large and very well crafted. The service is what you would expect in a high end hotel. The hotel is well situated. The pictures do not do justice to the accommodations.

This place is welcoming from the moment the staff greet you at the front door. It is a quiet, peaceful and stylish sanctuary to relax in after a day of cruising around Oaxaca and its surrounding villages. Everyone raves about the breakfast - for good reason, it is superb. The staff are incredible - they seem to genuinely get as...

My friend and enjoyed 6 days at La Casona. Our stay could not have been better! The hotel is within walking distance to everything in the historic district and 3 small blocks to Santo Domingo . The entire staff is friendly and personal. The rooms are large and well decorated with local art. The daily breakfast was superb with house...

Dear Guest: I am very happy that your stay with us has been pleasant. Fortunately our location favors us, we are within the historic center, but in a quieter area and within reach of many attractions. We are delighted that you enjoyed our breakfasts, which are prepared with old family recipes. The hotel was also decorated thinking that all our...

The people in the hotel were very nice. However the shower didn't have enough hot water. Also, this is minor but the art in the room was a little depressing, dark brown and green. Breakfast was delicious.

Dear Guest: Thanks for taking the time to write down your valuable comments! I regret the inconvenience of the hot water, I hope the staff has solved your request. Yes, the room is large, spacious and comfortable. So is the bed. But it's the people in this small hotel that makes this place so warm. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble for them to do if asked. The breakfast is delicious, fresh juice, espresso coffee, beautifully cooked selection of hot dishes. And it's a beautiful looking hotel with great...

Gorgeous restored classical house in the heart of Oaxaca downtown. Close to everything. The attention to detail was impecable and Amelia, Marisela, Isela and Gabriel were incredible hosts. It was lovely to wake up to a hot chocolate and Memelas with asiento and fresh cheese!

Incredible services at this hotel in Oaxaca. I have stayed at best hotels in the world and this is one of them. Rooms are large with big bathrooms. Service is impeccable, every morning I had a cappuccino within 5 minutes of waking up. Only place I would stay at in Oaxaca. Walking distance to the best restaurant in town.

A tranquil oasis . A beautiful courtyard with helpful staff and chirping birds. Lovely rooms and a fabulous owner. Well located close but not too close to the Zocalo and surrounded by craft stores and restaurants. A winner !
