A boutique hotel with excellent staff and service standards. Ok the rooms are small but beds are comfortable and linen great. Good food in the restaurant at very reasonable prices. Right in the heart of Oaxaca with a short walk to the square where it all happens and to all major attractions in the city. Worth staying there.

Great location! Just 2 blocks away from the Zócalo! The staff is very friendly and always ready to assist you in anything you need! Excellent service! There is valet parking, which is very helpful as the street is very busy. The premises are very charming! We stayed in a suite and the reason I do not give 5 stars is...

Very pleasant - the logia is flowered and occupied by noisy parrots. No complaints except that plugs are not supplied for plug holes - advice: use the circular plastic mats on which tumblers are placed in the bathroom. Watch out for the toilets - very narrow outlet so be careful you do not block! One can walk out and see...

This hotel is lovely and is one I will remember for a long time. We stayed here for three nights on a tour of some parts of Mexico and I loved it as soon as I walked through the door: Colourful and a bit hippy with lots of personal touches. Our room was on the 3rd floor in the corner...

The location of this hotel is beautifully central: steps away from the cathedral. However, this means that every day you will be woken by very loud church bells every 15 minutes from 7am, and hear the zocalo ambience as you go to sleep (not to mention the loud tweeting caged birds everywhere). The rooms are charming: large and pretty and...

My sister and I shared a double room at Parador during the Oaxaca Film Festival. The room, though small, was pleasant and clean. We enjoyed coming back to find our folded towels creating a different animal every day! The breakfast space is very agreeable, and the main courtyard also. The staff is exceptionally nice and paired us with a wonderful...

this is really a first class parador hotel, beautiful decoration, excellent service at front desk, clean and specious rooms, convenient valet parking, close to city center, pedestrian street, zocalo, markets , restaurants and museums, a real treasure. all except the hotel restaurant, from which we had a traumatic experience, which prevented us from having even a breakfast. the waiter was...

This is a very clean and well-managed hotel in an excellent location. The staff is very friendly and helped me and my daughter with multiple requests. The hotel is located a very short distance from the Zocola and within walking distance to excellent restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel is very good! Upon my request the hotel gave me the...

My husband and I spent just two nights at Parador San Miguel. It's a lovely hotel situated right in the middle of Oaxaca City, within walking distance of many restaurants, sights and markets. the inner courtyard is filled with many bird cages and lovely vegetation.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
With a privileged location, 20 minutes from the airport. In the historical downtown area, only a half block from the Central Alameda. The beautiful colonial-style building has three floors with 23 rooms, including four suites.Located on one of the main avenues in the city, the facade had a grand entry door of carved cedar, opening to a lovely porch with a statue of St. Michael the Archangel.A wrought iron gate opens to the hotel vestibule, where walls of ochre, terra-cotta, beige and cream combine with dark green ironwork and green granite columns to provide a dramatic backdrop for the brilliant bougainvillea and geraniums that thrive in the home's central patio. From here you can catch a hint of the spellbinding flavors of our Oaxacan kitchen. In "La Cocina" you can choose a magical dish to your specifications.Small gardens lead to the first level rooms. A majestic green granite stairway crowned with glorious stained glass leads to the second and third levels. On the second level terrace, you could relax or sunbathe accompanied by canaries in a kaleidoscope of multicolored flowers. ... more   less
