The 10-room hotel actually operates more like a B&B, the building with courtyard and roof terrace is charming. A good breakfast service (Ptas 50 per person) is available on the roof terrace and during the day drinks including beer (no wine) can be obtained there but restaurant service is not available. Coffee lovers will appreciate the complimentary delivery service to...

We loved our stay at Azucenas. The hotel itself is a beautifully restored colonial home, colourful and quaint in the traditional local style. This adds to your experience of the local culture from the get-go. The rooms (under 10 in total, which helps to maintain an intimate and homely atmosphere) are simple, but offer everything needed for a comfortable stay...

Small no frills hotel (no TV, no phone in rooms) that offers great value for the price: good location (close to downtown but in a not very noisy street), very clean and comfortable rooms, extremely friendly staff that provides great advice on everything. Very nice roof terrace. Breakfast not included, but the continental breakfast offered for only 58 pesos is...

We loved our stay at Hotel Azucenas. The breakfast was delicious and very affordable. The hotel is at a great location in the center, with a bit of elevation to provide beautiful views from the rooftop patio. The staff was extremely kind, courteous and helpful. Hope to be able to stay here again!

I stayed 6 nights at this friendly hotel, and it really felt like coming home after each day exploring Oaxaca. The rooms are spotless, with lovely Oaxacan decor in bright colours. The staff was very helpful and arranged our rental car and airport transfer. Front desk staff speak English. The roof terrace is the best part, it is a lovely...

Hi spindreamer and thanks so much for your compliments! It's true that the hotel is small and super clean (it's a converted family home) and is on the street...so we've done what we can for those who a more sound conscious... The front desk can offer you a white noise machine or earplugs! They are both mentioned in information page...

I was lucky enough to be able to get a room at Azucenas for my first trip to Oaxaca, and I was not disappointed. The location was impeccable, walking distance to the Zocalo, public markets, and Santo Domingo with all of its surrounding boutiques, a great little room which was clean and neat as a pin, as were the grounds...

This little gem is a short walk from the zocalo. My room was very cheerful and bright. The whole place is very clean. The rooftop terrace is lovely. A great self-serve breakfast is served there every morning for a minimal cost, you can make tea or coffee whenever you like, there are beer and soft drinks in the fridge for...

We stayed at Hotel Azucenas over Day of the Dead, and really enjoyed it. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about really anything Oaxaca-related. We even left and forgot a souvenir we had bought after we checked out, and they immediately emailed us about it so we were able to come back to get it. The rooms felt very...

We stayed at Hotel Azucenas for 4 nights and from the moment we walked in the front door, having arrived by taxi from the airport, we knew we'd booked the right place. The lady on the reception was very welcoming & accommodating. The rooms are perfectly adequate & have everything you need with an ensuite bathroom, comfortable beds & lots...
