I rarely write hotel reviews. Before I left I offered to write a review because of the wonderful room and place. This hotel is definitely one we will see again. I have been to Oaxaca many, many times so I'm fairly familiar with what is there. Casa Antigua was new to me. The rooms could not be finer. They are...

We have travelled all over Mexico. This place looks great, the lobby and common areas are nice and well kept but that is where it ends. The rooms are very small and dark, the bathroom could only accomodate one person at a time and the shower leaked so bad the whole bathroom was wet. They provided us with one face...

My mom and I spent a week together in Oaxaca City in early July 2006. I searched Trip Advisor and hotel websites for over 10 hours looking for the right hotel for us, and finally decided on the Hotel Casa Antigua. We were so happy with out decision! The hotel was spotless and beautiful. The 14 rooms were large and...

We stayed at this hotel during the first three days of a week-long trip to Oaxaca. The location is central, although the street was under construction and devoid of pedestrian traffic or even lighting at night. The staff (maids, waiters) were pleasant. However, the mother-daughter team managing the hotel was quite disinterested in accommodating our preferences for a quieter room,...

We stayed here to be close to the center of town the last week of February, 2006. The hotel is very convenient to everything and the owner, his daughter, and all the staff were very accomodating. It is actually quite elegant, with modern amenities including air conditioning that works and is quiet. If you are looking for serenity and at...

We are ending our one-week stay here tomorrow. I can send this review before we arrive home because there is free, wireless internet for those who travel with a laptop. We have a "junior suite," meaning two double beds, on the second floor. It has been quiet and comfortable. The pedestrian-only area of the street (5 de Mayo) has just...

Based on the reviews we read here, my husband and I booked 4 nights at Casa Antigua for the week between Christmas and New Year's. Since it was high season they only had a standard for the first 3 nights and a jr. suite for the final night. The charge for the first night came through on my credit card...

This hotel is well placed in the conlonial bit of the town - handy for the zocalo & the museum with the mont Alban treasures in it. Bakery around the corner for some good sweet buns! It is a converted nunnery. Rooms were clean with a small bathroom with shower only. There are no tea making facilities in room. Beautiful...

Great place to stay. Extraordinary service from everyone in the staff. Very nice modern/colonial architecture. Modern rooms, extremely clean bathrooms and very good A/C, not noisy yet the room stays very fresh all night. Don't miss the terrace if you stay here. I recomend to stay at the upper level since it is more quiet. Finally cable TV has not...

My wife and I just spent a week in Oaxaca on our Honeymoon. We started off staying at De La Para but after the first night started looking at other hotels. We came across Casa Antigua while shopping at the Woman's Artisan shop on 5 De Mayo. We were given a junior suite with with A/C and two balconies overlooking...
