This hotel was a great find. It's very small and has a colonial Mexico look and feel. The staff is very helpful, especially Andrea, whose English is almost flawless. It's just a short block from Zocalo Square, and within a few minutes walk to Santo Domingo, galleries and the markets.

We stayed at Hotel de la Parra for eight nights. It was a wonderful eight nights. The hotel is immaculate, lovely and in a good location. But the most outstanding was the service and the lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Everyone of them! We stayed on the second floor which was light and and overlooked the courtyard. There was a nice...

This small boutique hotel is very well located (1/2 block to Zocalo) & is very quiet in the interior making it great for a good night's sleep. The rooms are quite large & nicely appointed. The restaurant serves very good breakfasts, the staff are extremely friendly & helpful. It has a small unheated pool in a central courtyard which my...

We spent several nights here in November and were very happy with our room, the staff, the location, and the wonderful breakfasts. The courtyard pool and the building itself were lovely. It's near the square yet we felt secluded. We highly recommend it.

My family and I recedntly spent 5 days at this lovely hotel in Oaxaca. The roooms are elegantly furnished, clean, cable tv, with ample lighting, aircondtioning, large bathrooms and very comfortable beds. While all of the staff speak Spanish , their English speaking skills are basic enough to be understood ( I speak both languages). They serve a wonderfull breakfast...

The place is small, but the rooms are big. The personnel is extraordinary, they really make you feel at home. It is very quiet. The light is subdued, and I think this is a great plus as it makes you feel cooler. I'll come back, no doubt about it.

Our family of 4 (2 small boys under 10) stayed here in March 2015. We had a great stay as the location is fantastic for exploring the Zocalo and surrounding area and very safe to walk anywhere day or night. The staff were very helpful and the hotel rooms were so very clean. The rooms are dark, but we only...

My friend and I stayed there for 10 days while at a film festival. We really enjoyed it in all respects - quite a lovely open courtyard hacienda-type building with wide corridors, plenty of outdoor areas to spend time, a good breakfast in the courtyard and the friendliest and most helpful of staff. We came to know Andrea, Evelyn, Marcos...

I came back from this hotel almost 10 days ago, and unfortunately my experience with them has not yet ended. At check out, we ended up paying twice for the total amount of the stay. This was a simple mistake that could have been easily fixed with a refund of one of the charges. No biggie, and I was not...

We have stayed here during 'slow season' in Oaxaca and were offered a discount. The hotel was almost empty. We liked the price (don't forget it's Mexico) and stayed there 7 nights. We haven't complained about the noise and settled with quite limited view, no natural light in our first room. We did the last minute check out and the...
