First I only wanted to stay for one night and then look for a less touristy place than a hostel, but Hostal La Unidad was well worth extending my time there for two weeks all together. When you get out of the ADO terminal in Oaxaca just cross the street (you will see a sign across of the exit) go...

My wife and I arrive for the The Guelaguetza 2013 and they came to our rescue. plenty of place to stay and good security, wifi and lockers. they helped how to move about. Also gave us ideas where to go and what to do. duly recommend this place.

We were only planning on staying 2 days but the staff was so helpful and friendly we ended up staying longer. The location is great and the hostel is spacious and clean. They really made us feel welcome and were very accommodating. Staying here was a wonderful experience.
