Beautiful place to stay in Oaxaca, great location. Feels like if you lived in the city. Very, very friendly staff and very good breakfast!! Unfortunately we would spend almost all day out walking but when we came back it just felt great.

As the name implies, the secret is hidden behind the yellow walled facade. A small modern house un folds with lots of detail in art, regional textiles and contemporary architecture. The rooms are very comfortable and impeccably clean. Each have access to the exterior back patios, so all are right and cheery. Expect to find details you would not normally...

We stayed in the Azalea room at the El Secreto location, down the street from the primary bnb. We loved the location, the ambience, the staff, in short, everything. The front room was a wonderful place to enjoy a coffee before breakfast, and the breakfasts were marvellous. There were three staff there from 7 to 10 a.m., and when the...

We had the pleasure of staying in El Secreto last week. The wondrous deck alone is a great reason to stay there but the room and fantastic mattress and linens are equally fantastic. There is only one problem, you could just hang there and be perfectly happy instead of touring beautiful Oaxaca.

I just spent a month in El Secreto B&B in Oaxaca. It's an elegant 4 bedroom facility, filled with splendid art works. Breakfasts are amazing: always with fresh made granola, yogurt, and honey, and with fresh fruit and juice. But with main dishes that in the entire month cook Christina never repeated. The house is new, beautifully architect designed with...

El Secreto turned out to be a lovely B&B. The staff were great, the room was clean and pleasant and the breakfasts were different every day. We were very happy with our stay. Larry Woldenberg and Christine Power Sydney, Australia

El Secreto feels very much like a modern-style home that's been converted into a B&B, with an open-space kitchen and dining room, a small sitting room to the side, and three en-suite bedrooms. Just as at Las Bugambilias, its larger sister B&B just a couple of blocks down the street, the staff here does a truly amazing job keeping the...

We loved staying at El Secreto. The breakfasts every morning were fabulous and Christina decorated the table every day in imaginative ways and every breakfast was different. Renato was a perfect host and got us drivers, an extra bedroom, and wine as well as waiting on us for breakfast. It is directly behind the convent so a perfect location. We...

Our Azalea room accommodations were spacious, clean and comfortable. Our room opened to a side patio with remote activated water feature. Rooftop terrace offered a relaxing spot to read, sip and enjoy the view of the mountains surrounding the city. And the complimentary breakfasts were a real highlight, featuring Cristina and Paula's creative cuisine and clever table decorations. We also...

My husband and I stayed at El Secreto, a little yellow house several blocks from the main square. Our room had a private patio which we enjoyed a great deal. Decor and accessories in the room were excellent. Breakfast, served each morning (with smiles and willingness to help us with our poor Spanish) was delicious, fresh and artfully presented. There...
