We were so lucky to stay at Al Sol . There just happened to be a cancellation. The owner was so helpful,Veronica met us at 7 a.m. ( our travel plans did not work as planned ) She greeted us warmly, helped us carry our bags to our unit ,and filled us in on her complex. The units were extremely clean....

Al Sol is not only a peaceful, clean and safe environment, it is run by a very special hostess and owner, Veronica Coronel and is complimented by a very helpful staff. The units are well appointed and pleasant with all amenities available for cooking. Nice people there, too. I enjoyed my stay there and look forward to another one next...

I spent 8 nights at Al Sol in July while on a bird photography vacation. The good: security, friendliness, WiFi, location, price, convenience for eating, and cleanliness. The bad: traffic noise (until around 11pm), no soap, 1 towel, no dish towel or sponge, no coffee filters, and a slight "yuk" factor with baked on scum on the bathroom sink, a...

We kind of found Al Sol by accident, but what a perfect accident it was. Due to a change in their scheduling, we were upgraded with our permission to room 3. It was perfect. The room has a wall separating the bedroom area from the kitchen area. Regardless, it would have been comfortable. What stands out is the cleanliness. We...

We stayed at Al Sol Apartments for a month on arrival in Oaxaca whilst we looked for something more permanent. The apartments are amazing, and completely surpassed our expectations. The owner, Veronica, and the whole team are so friendly and efficient, in fact Veronica couldn't do enough to help us out when we arrived and needed help setting up our...

WE LOVE THIS PLACE. Wonderful location, clean and beautiful apartment and super-sweet management… Veronica has it going on! We originally booked 2 weeks, then extended it to three, would have loved to have stayed longer. Al Sol attracts an interesting mix of collegial folks from all walks of life who are well-travelled, fun and engaging; evenings on the rooftop terrace...

We spent two weeks based at Al Sol in December 2014. This is a perfect base for budget-minded travellers who want something a little off the beaten tourist path. Veronica is lovely, and we enjoyed meeting her sister Nuvie and wonderful housekeepers Luisa and Felipe. Even the fellows who work in the attached cafe felt like temporary "family" by the...

I love this place! It is so quiet and beautiful… Right now I am writing this review from a hammock of the terrace overlooking Oaxaca. I have been here for a week only but if I could I would just move here. I am renting a studio which is not big but it has all the essential things and is...

I stayed in #12 for two weeks in March, 2014 and it was great. The efficiency apartment on the ground level was spacious and immaculate. Veronica, the owner, speaks excellent English and was accommodating and gracious. When I was there the other apartments were occupied by snowbirds who come every year. Veronica said her busiest months are October through March...
