Hotel is located in a quiet part of Oaxaca City and is very colonial and cute, with a garden restaurant upstairs and an open terrace. Clean, comfortable, people very nice. Good breakfast. Short 15 minute walk to downtown and the must see Santo Domingo Church. We stayed in a room on the 1st floor facing the courtyard. It was small,...

Good Morning Thank you for the good comments about the hotel, the staff and the location. As part of Hotel Los Pilares’ commitment to conserve the environment, all our minifridges have been disconected but all are functional and only with request to reception are connected. We look forward to your next visit to the city and we really appreciate your...

My wife and I are very frequent international travelers who stay at a wide range of classes of accommodation in many off the beaten path destinations. We were excited with our recent trip to Oaxaca after reading and seeing so much coverage about it. We checked into Los Pilares for four nights. We received a room on main floor facing...

Best small hotel I have ever stayed at-Beautiful Mexican ambiance with a pool, garden, restaurant on roof top. The restaurant (fantastic breakfasts) manager Lorenzo is Italian and is part of the ownership family and was extremely helpful-he speaks 4 languages. I like the tv cable system as it had 20 English channels. They provide two bottles of water free daily....

We stayed at this hotel 2 nights on the start of our trip and then another night before heading home. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a room in this price range. Travelling with a friend, both rooms we stayed in were on the ground level, had 2 double beds and were comfortable. There was no closet if that's...

We stayed for a second time at Los Pilares Hotel about 1 Km from Zócalo, city center, and found it an easy and interesting walk to town. We loved our week at Los Pilares. The rooms are charming and immaculate, the rooftop garden was a wonderful place to gather and have breakfast. The staff was always smiling and helpful. It was fun being away from the crwods in a real neighborhood with lots of cafes in walking distance. The 15 minute walk into town in the morning...

Los Pilares Hotel is about in the center of Oaxaca. You can walk everywhere from here. Basic Museums, city center, restaurants and zocalo are just at walking distance (10/15 minutes). But cabs cost nothing, just 2 or 3 US$ to go everywhere!!! The hotel offers spacious rooms with a high ceiling and a beautiful top garden for breakfast or just...

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Los Pilares. We stayed in room #13, on the terrace level, which is apparently the only room with a king sized bed on the terrace. Beautiful older hotel a bit out of the center of town and from main attractions/restaurants. Inconsiderate tourist can be a bit noisey and the beautiful courtyard amplifies their activities. Rooms are pretty and restroom/shower/vanity area are specious (stayed in a deluxe king room). Nice toiletries, phone and microscopic TV. Bed a bit firm but OK. Very large sitting area upstairs...
