Camino Real Aeropuerto hotel is highly valued by many travelers for its strategic location near the airport, which, coupled with its shuttle service, makes it a favorite for transit stays. Guests consistently commend the cleanliness of the hotel, especially the immaculate bathrooms and the comfort of the beds.

Detailed Reviews
Stayed for 1 night, after a 30 hour trip from Asia, checked in very late and tired. Location is good as walking distance from the Airport, however if you have lots of luggage recommend get help from the Airport luggage boys as it is a 10-15 join walk from International arrivals. Check-in very smooth.
Room very average, was clean however interiors seems old. The room was located in Tower 2, which was far away. I had to walk a lot to get to the room which under the circumstances was not ideal. Room was clean and had toiletries.
Staff very friendly and followed all COVID protocols.
Had breakfast in the Restaurant, where they also had a Covid protocol. enjoyed the breakfast, good service and good food.
Price wise very competitive and would say good value for money, for purpose of transit or layover.
Would not stay there more than 2 days... however Maybe Tower 1 has better rooms.

I feel I should be careful how I word this review as I stay at this hotel very often and get an excellent crew rate.
First the good. This is probably the most conveniently located hotel at terminal 1 and the closest to the national departure gates. It has it’s own valet parking and is adjacent to one of the airport car parks for those of us who feel uncomfortable handing our car key to a complete stranger. There are three excellent private restaurants within the hotel and the hotel’s own restaurant serves a really good breakfast and lunch buffet. The gym is well equipped and has a spa. Everything is clean and the service is excellent, especially at the front desk where the well trained staff are polite and very efficient.
Now the bad. This is a very old hotel and some of the rooms are noisy. I’ve been staying here so long I know which ones to avoid. Most are okay but some are really noisy to the point where you can hear your neighbors chatting in conversational tones.
At the moment some of the floors are being remodeled and rooms that are far too close to the constant hammering and drilling are still being used. I was given one at the beginning of my latest stay here but, thankfully, the good people at the front desk were very quick to find me a quieter room when I complained.
All things considered this hotel is still an excellent choice for connections at T1, and even T2 which is only 5 minutes away on the airport train.

Overall stay was good but Wi-Fi was not slow. As a 4 star hotel they should also provide tooth brush and paste as sometimes the customer do not carry it in plane. Else everything was good and perfect. Just the Wi-fi and paste thing

We got stuck after one of the many flight delays of Avianca (chose any other airline, if you can) and were booked into the Camino Real at the airport. As our luggage was checked in, Avianca assured us, that a toothbrush would be available at the hotel - what you would expect anyway. It turned out, that the hotel doesn’t provide anything above a soap and a shower gel. No shaver, no comb, no toothbrushes... I got booked in a room at the main tower, where I got all the noise and music from the entrance hall unfiltered.
Not only took the handling of the airline 5! hours, we got the worst rooms at the hotel (as they pay the cheapest rate, according to the manager), the hotel we got booked in, turns just out to make a bad experience worse.

I landed just before midnight and wanted a hotel close to the airport and was recommended the Camino Real by colleagues.
It was a good recommendation and I'd stay here again
Even at 01h, the welcome was warm and process fast
I had a room on the third floor looking to the airport but wasn't disturbed by noise
The room was a good size but the highlight for me was the bathroom because it had a powerful shower bath tub and good quality soap, shampoo and conditioner
I felt refreshed and slept well
The hotel has access to two COVID 19 testing locations which was vital for my flight home. They offer rapid antigen and PCR but I only needed antigen and at MX$650 it was a reasonable price.
Thanks so much
andrew

Positive note: Location. From the arrival area of terminal 1 you just need to walk 5-7mins to the hotel (no need to go out of the airport itself; an internal bridge from the airport to the hotel is available so you do not need to step into the street.
Downside: Check in is a nightmare & rooms are filthy.
The hotel has an agreement with an airline to provide accommodation to travelers which flights (for whatever reason where cancelled). I was unlucky to arrive to do my check in when multiple flights were cancelled. Although I had my reservation I needed to do a 1hr queue to be able to check in. I would expect that a queue for people that have already a reservation was available.
When we finally got our room was late and we were tired of a 25hrs trip. We got a room with 2 beds...when we were off to bed the sheets were disgustingly dirty. We checked the second bed and luckily was clean so we slept there (we were just too tired to ask for a change of rooms + I was not going to to another one hour queue). The next morning when we were getting ready to catch the next plane.. the shower another disgusting surprise. The shower floor was dirty and with hairs of the previous guests. of course no time for us to change rooms just disgusting.

Checkin is available right at the airport, quick and easy. I checked it, received my key, and then my luggage was carried to the shuttle for me and after a brief 5 min ride we'd arrived.
There's a restaurant and room service with prices around 300-550 pesos. There's also a small cafe in the lobby serving Starbucks and hot sandwiches for around 150 pesos. The "peseta" with pesto and Serrano ham was super delicious.
The rooms themselves were really clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a deep tub, hot water, and really nice shampoo and conditioner. The kind that doesn't leave your hair tangled. :)
The bed and bedding was so comfortable, and I enjoyed the window overlooking the airport, and the blackout curtains.
I will mention that when I first entered the room I could clearly hear the neighbors talking. The thin walls could be an issue if you end up next to a loud room.
The shuttle to the hotel leaves around the clock, every 15-20 minutes.
And big shout out to the staff. Every single person I spoke to was so kind, helpful and profession. Guest service stars. Thanks for a nice stay!

Access to the hotel is very easy, just crossing over a bridge from terminal 1. The main lobby is very beautiful. The breakfast, for which we paid 20 USD per person, was very tasty. The rooms are superold. The sink in the bathroom did not work. Also, we asked for a high level room, which is quiet. We got a room on 1st floor which was to the main road...

Good place for you to stay
Is close to the airport
What I was a little disappointed was that for the money you pay I the last thing you expect is to be clean, more during COVID-19
Windows was dirty including the curtains
The shower at the top when I arrive was dirty the floor, I see they don’t do vacuum.
Bed the 2nd bed sheet was dirty.
Food is good people is nice.

Perfect location for an airport layover: the hotel is just across a safe and secure footbridge from terminal 1 arrivals. A free minibus will bring you from T2 in about 5 minutes. Inside, some of the corridor areas are showing their age a bit but the rooms themselves are very comfortable and reasonably well-appointed. An in-room coffee station was the one thing that I did miss - I like to wake up to a cup of java..... You pay as you go for room service etc and I appreciated the way that when I gave extra cash, the servers always asked if they should bring me change, never assuming it was for them. Overall room cost seemed very good value.

Of course you can. Through the hotel lobby you access the restaurants, even if you are not staying at the hotel
