As others have said, the location can't be beat. The interior is beautiful and very colonial. Rooms are well-appointed and they go the extra mile on amenities (in addition to easily accessible bottle water, free apples! -- among other things). We paid extra for Zócalo views and were in room 514, directly under the dining room. It was very noisy...

Dear InETn, Thank you for your comments. It is great that you enjoyed our central location and colonial style. As you have mentioned, our hotel is an architectural gem of the 17th Century. Our location right in the heart of the city has its perks, but also its drawbacks, such as the noise. However, we are glad to read that...

The staff was wonderful...Sergio showed me to my room and he greeted me very night as I returned from my sightseeing. Also, he was ready to help with suggestions and so...

Room was very nice - we stayed 3 nights. Breakfast on rooftop was special looking out over the main square - and it was a nice breakfast also! This is a brilliant location and the service could not be faulted. Definitely recommend!

From the moment we arrived, all our wishes were taken care of. We were greeted with a cool drink and face washcloth on arrival. My lumpy luggage was promptly and deftly handled. I am a bit reticent to review this hotel because I don't want too many people finding out about it. In short , we loved it ! Although it is not situated where all the glitzy ritz Carltons and Four Seasons are, we think it is in a really unique setting overlooking the historic centre of Mexico City . Loads...

I highly recommend Zocalo Central Hotel. The staff, especially Alejandra, the concierge, helped me enormously. Without Alejandra’s assistance I would have struggled to cope with an unfortunate event that happened to me on the Mexican Metro. Thank you so much Alejandra for your dedication to your guests and the high level of personal care you took in looking after me....
