When I traveled to Mexico City in 2010, I researched hotels and B&Bs the way some people do a new car, eventually deciding on El Patio. My lonely hours of legwork in front of a computer screen paid off: In El Patio, I got a Cadillac, not a Yugo. When I decided to return to Mexico City again a few...

We stayed at El Patio 77 for five nights earlier this month, and loved it! The house is full of character...spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The staff was exceptionally attentive and accommodating, and offered great advice on things to see and do. Breakfast was excellent every morning, with fresh fruit, juice and coffee, and a different main course each day....

I travelled to DF to meet with a friend and we stayed 4 nights at El Patio 77. We were almost sad to have to go at the end. The people were super nice and helpful, waited up for late arrival and helped us when our car got towed away. The food is awesome and probably the best I had...

El Patio 77 is located in the heart of San Rafael, a wonderful, safe, and interesting neighborhood - easy to get around and within 5 minutes of the metro. Residential and lively. Off the beaten path yet close to all major sights. Delicious street food on Ribera San Cosme off Contreras. The hotel decor is beautiful, with very spacious yet...

We stayed 13 nights at El Patio, 5 nights in the Oaxaca Room, 8 nights in the Chihuahua Room (does that add up to 13? Yes? Good.) The whole place is really lovely, done in a minimalist but comfortable style with bright and cool colors alternating and accenting each other. The overall effect is restful and exciting at the same...

This is the perfect B&B in Mexico City. I just came back from my 2nd stay and can't recommend El Patio enough. The early 20th century building has been renovated in a way that has both preserved its classic air and accented it with smart, detailed and deeply beautiful design. The rooms are spacious and welcoming, and they are a...

We had a wonderful four-night stay. The rooms are each uniquely decorated, and there are comfortable community spaces for hanging out. I love the greywater re-use system. The staff was both hip and helpful. Yummy breakfasts, too, especially the fresh fruit. Easy to catch the Metro, and we liked being in a part of town that was off the tourist...

We found this B&B on Trip Advisor and had an excellent experience. Well appointed room (large, on the ground floor), authentic breakfast, helpful staff. location is good - close to the subway, walking distance to some attractions. SanRafael neighborhood has a very authentic feel with good local food and bakeries. We will stay here again!

This is an absolutely gorgeous property that occupies an entire historic mansion and that's ran by a young, dynamic and profesional crew. Great breakfast (coffee needs urgent improvement) that changes every day and that's served in a beautiful inner courtyard. You can tell the interior was designed with some love. We stayed in two separate rooms, a suite and one...

Not only an interior design that puts to shame the best boutique hotels of La Condesa (where our friends were staying) but also a dedicated and caring service and a great breakfast that will let you wanting for more traditional mexican food. Plus, it is spotless clean... A remarkable experience in a truly amazing city...
