Stayed here for a conference in August and was very impressed. Beautifully decorated and very stylish, this is a large hotel in terms of area but the friendly and helpful staff made sure that the welcome was never impersonal. The rooms were large and very well looked after and everything in the hotel sparkled as a result of the attentions...

Stayed at this hotel for a week for training purposes. The hotel is well decorated with lovely art and sculptures. Felt as though we stayed at a museum. The concierge was very helpful. Food provided at training was not that good. But the room service and other restaurants were excellent.

During our Mexico City visit, The Camino Real chain is where we stay for business or fun... In the Polanco @ Anzures location is huge. Reminds me of a modern Flintstones.. Rooms beautiful but very noisy. (Request a room away from the party room) The restaurants are hip, good and expensive. Breakfast cafeteria is delicious. Very well located close to...

It has great modernist architecture and in pretty good location but this place is huge, 700 rooms and is a bit tired. My bed and bedding was good and the bathroom has been refitted. The lobby resembles Grand Central Stn at peak times so be careful when timing a visit to reception. Get a room facing into the pool as...

Was there recently for one transit night. It's a good place to stay one night if you have a flight next day from International Terminal at DF. Lobby bar is good for couple of drink and relaxing. Wifi is not good at rooms. Get to the rooms is a maze. If you get one of the lower floors all the...

Stayed here for two nights with a group of friends largely because of the architecture (Luis Barragan). I knew in advance that it was a giant concrete box with some bright paint on it. Anyone who complains about that wasn't paying attention when they booked. My complaint is with poor maintenance. Lights that didn't work. Keys that didn't work (and...

If you want good service, helpful staff and amenities do NOT go there. They charge extra for everything and they seem to do it with glee. Wifi? Show me the money. Are you two people in a room and perhaps have two devices each - iphone and ipad - show me MORE money. Coffee maker in the room? hah. Just...

If you are expecting to stay waking distance of bars and restaurants and shops, this is not the Polanco you have in mind. The hotel is more like a "prison", and location is definitely deceiving. The hotel is huge, which is not that convenient to run in and out. The rooms are not bad, but all looks and feels very...

I recently stayed two nights on a business trip. While well located in Polanco it desperately needs a rehab. I felt like I was back in the 80's. I got a discounted rate of $140 usd per night which had I paid any more I would have been extremely upset. The breakfast buffet was average and overpriced. The rooms are...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Camino Real Polanco is unique architectural concept, created by highly-regarded architect Ricardo Legorreta. This space is considered a Hotel-Museum for its beauty and art collection. It opened its doors to the public on July 25, 1968, combining modern features with shapes clearly reminiscent of Prehispanic pyramids, the elements of which merge together to create a wonderful architectural work. Camino Real Polanco has hosted two soccer World Cups and the Olympic Games, as well as over 210 official visits from presidents and kings from all over the world.
