We have stayed at the Metropol twice now and like the rooms, dining room, food and service. We also like the location, it is within walking distance of some things and not a far drive to others, like the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Hotel Metropol is very well located with a short walk to the Palacio de Bellas Artes and the metro stop. Easy walk to the Zócalo a few blocks down Av. Francisco Madero. There's a great little restaurant across the road for cheap and good desayuno. The hotel is clean with good facilities. Wifi is sporadic and only a small fan...

The hotel itself is quite old and outdated and it is facing other noisy streets, however just few walking distance you will reach the city centre. The room was big however very old style duvets and pillows. The room that was given was very very noisy you could literally hear the conversation from next door. Got woken up several times...

This hotel in the Centro Historico gives you lots of options. It's close to many forms of transport including Metrobus and the Metro (subway). It's also within walking distance to most of the Centro Historico's famous sites: The Sanborn's with tiled exterior (where Zapata's troops had coffee 100 years ago), the Zocalo and national cathedral, many great museums and many...

Two blocks from Parque Alameda just south of Juarez.. Has been totally remodeled. Rooms are spacious with TV, fan, hair dryer, ironing boards and purified water to drink. La Goleta restaurant has been completely remodelled. Service is excellent. There is a bar and parking.

a clean, well-kept place for to stay for a couple of days; normal rooms and breakfast; less than 10 min. walk from the city center; helpful staff, 2 min. walk from an 'oxxo' grocery where one should buy water at least for tooth-brushing. don't use the tap-water!

Good hotel, but I find the Internet maddening. You either can't connect or once you do it will kick you off for no apparent reason. The location is good, but don't walk very far down the street as it is not in a great area. Just make sure not to get lost and use your common sense. The service is...

This hotel's location is excellent, plus it's on a quiet street. Rooms are comfortable, shower soothing, breakfast buffet yummy and varied, and staff attentive. My burned out light bulb was immediately replaced. Closet huge and, though window opened, room had a tower fan as well.

Staying in Alameda

Neighbourhood Profile
Alameda
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
