Really felt guilty for not reading the reviews on this place before arrival. The building is lovely and its close to many of the tourists must do's. However, that's where the good stuff ends. This two storey building has a roof terrace which is open to the public and blasts western music out every night 8pm till 2am. I can...

I was hesitant given some of the reviews but pleasantly proved wrong. We arrived at night with a newborn baby and were delighted with friendly and helpful staff who spoke English given we can't speak Spanish. The room is clean and large enough. Best of all the location. Fantastic food stalls across the road. Beautiful park too and lots of...

- the location was really great. busy street, close to local craft markets and there are lots of places to eat around that area, street and restaurant. all the rooms are modern and pretty cool but only one small window (except for suits) to the courtyard where businessmen are always dinning and drinking. the double bench style sinks were great...

Pluses: Location on the large Alameda square in the historical district, within a ten-minute walk of major museums Attractive old building with a large patio Solid rooms OK staff, not bad, not great Fair pricing, maybe just a little high but by not much Minuses: Slow internet Location is relatively far from Rosa and Condesa areas, that are more fun...

On a last minute business withou an hotel, our Mexican business partner managed to find a room here. Check in was pleasant and efficient and the room was lovely with a huge showerbath and crisp clean bed linen. When taken to the room I was immediately told about the double glazing to keep out the noise - ha bloody ha!...

This hotel is in an excellent location close to the down town area, the glorious central park and the art museum. The hotel building is fabulous. Old and full of character. The rooms are arranged around a square covered atrium. There is a small dining area and plenty of places to relax. Regrettably the echo of music from the very...

Looked really arty and full of promise from the outside, but our enthusiasm dampened the minute we opened the room door! If this room was deluxe, then I dread to think of what a standard room would be. The room size was poky to say the least. The linen was more like hard wearing hospital bed linen, the toilet was...

We loved the look of the hotel on the website but stunned when we got there. Beautiful place, the rooms are lovely (cosey) & the showers amazing! Staff friendly, dining delish, can get noisy at night.

Arrived here last night, booked for a five night stay as part of our honeymoon. We were sent (not shown) to our room, where there was no air con due to power problems, so we tried to get a drink at the bar but this was already shut by 10.30pm. The location is perfect and the hotel has clearly been...

Staying in Alameda

Neighbourhood Profile
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
