I found a really nice rate over Expedia for this Hotel and I decided to give it a try for one weekend. Guanajuato, Mexico is a LOVELY historic city in central Mexico and it is a MUST to visit in order to have a REAL sense of a vibrant mexican city & Barroque Architecture. It is easy reached by car/bus...

We stayed at the Camino Real in our vacations in Guanajuato. The hotel is located in a hill, 10-15 minutes walk to downtown, where everything interesting is located. The walk goes through a not very interesting part of the city, and the sidewalk is narrow, so we were not thrilled to walk it 4 times a day. That was the...

When we first arrived I was very pleased with the welcoming and the hospitality everyone provided. Especially Martin, he went beyond my expectations by helping us get on a city tour which I strongly recommend. We had dinner at their restaurant and I was very pleased with the food and service. They also provided us with a crib for my...

This used to be a wonderful old building and still has a few traces of its former glory. The rooms have been modernized, this is a good thing since the prior owners did nothing about the rooms which were dark and dreary. The pool area is terrific for kids, with a slide and a snack bar. The dining room, which...

I stayed at this hotel with a couple of colleagues, and we had inconsistent experiences. I had a great stay - the room was rustic, but spacious, and although the bed wasn't the most comfortable, the breakfast was great the next day. My other colleagues seemed to have a less memorable experience - I think there might be a difference...

We stayed at this hotel as part of a group tour booking and we were extremely pleased. Although it is a little off the beaten track, it is not far to the city centre which is a short cab ride or bus away. The hotel is very well kept: gardens, nice pool, main restaurant and room. The king bed was...

Camino Real Guanajuato was a superb hotel overall. It is one of the few hotels in GTO with a pool and exercise room. The service was excellent and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit out of the center of town which turned out to be just fine as it is quiet and restful...

As an avid traveler, I am very forgiving of several different types of experiences. Unfortunately in this situation that is not the case... In November, my husband and I were married in San Miguel de Allende and we were passing through Guanajuato for one night on our way back to Leon. We booked the Camino Real rooms through Expedia as...
