I'm lying in my bed at 6.50 in the morning and I can't sleep because a group of 15 drunk teenagers are screaming in the patio and nobody is doing anything in this hotel. Even though they know they have an acoustic problem and EVERYTHING said in the central patio you can here it in your room, they just don't... More

The most disgusting experience in Guanajuato. The rooms where full of cockroaches, old towels and dirty beds. They don't take care of the hotel and it's dirty and old. The staff was not polite with us. Don't stay here! Muy sucio y descuidando. No tiren su dinero aquí.

Cheap accommodation but these people don't know how to maintain the place. The hotel in its entirety is dirty. Not only the room but also the common areas. There's two tables in the patio and they haven't found a way to put clean table cloth on both of them. The room is gloomy and dirty. I had to ask the... More

The location of Hotel Molino Del Rey is very convenient, and the two rooms we got were adequate. They both had little balconies with doors that could be opened, and the bathrooms had ventilation, too. But is was very, very noisy from about 11:30 PM until 4:20 AM. There's a bar very nearby, so it was hard to sleep. This... More

All in all the Molino del Rey is not a bad hotel to stay in, it is right in the centre and that makes for a very big plus. However, a good advice is to try and get a room with a window. First we were put in a room on the ground floor facing the courtyard. It was very... More

This hotel is located a short walk from the city center near some cute restaurant and other small shops. The internal courtyard is sun filled, with hanging plants and very pleasant. I think they have free Wi-Fi, but not sure. This building, from what I learned from the host, used to be a nun's convent. The rooms tend to be... More

I chose this hotel after looking all around town, and was overall very happy at the Hotel Molino del Rey. I stayed here two weeks in April 2009 and the difference was the excellent staff. They were most accommodating to me with my limited Spanish, from the desk clerks to the laundry lady to the gentleman innkeeper, they were all... More

Reading the other comments of this web-site I begin wondering whether I stayed at the same hotel. Ok, it's well positioned at a walking distance from the city centre and it's super pricey but the whole structure definitely needs a good renovation. Our room was too small, gloomy, wet and quite dirt. Furniture was old and creaky, bedclothes needed to... More

Just returned from first time trip to Guanajuato (Gto) which was totally great, and stayed 3 nights at Molino del Rey. I traveled w/ a friend and we each had our own room for $250 Pesos / $25 US. The staff was pleasant. The hotel is just a couple of blocks from the town center, minimal steps to climb, and... More

The Hotel Molino del Rey was overall a great place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and nice, and the location was great.
