I have stayed at Casa Vilasanta four or five times in the last four years and would thoroughly recommend it for visitors to Guadalajara. The atmosphere is welcoming and peaceful and with the beautiful colours, plants and ornaments it really feels like a Mexican 'home'. While having breakfast on the roof terrace, I've even seen some hummingbirds. The location is... More

I stayed at Casa Vilasanta for 3 nights and found the location good and the rooms clean and affordable, but that is where the pros of this place end. They speak no English at all here. Surprising, considering they have a fair number of tourists staying here. The lady who cleans the room was rude and acted like she was... More

Casa Vilasanta is gorgeous to look at - a riot of colours, plants, tiling, lots of lovely places to sit and a really nice atmosphere. The staff are very unobtrusive; you don't see much of them (although they're there 24.7 if you need them - Juan Carlos is very helpful and friendly) and all in all you feel like you're... More

They also have excellent facilities for storing food and a great kitchen and dining area if you want to cook for yourself. We also really like the... More

Hotel Vilasanta made my stay in Guadalajara a joy. I had stayed a few day in a nearby hotel that was dark, dirty, noisy and on a dodgy street with a staff that did not respond to my needs. Transferring to Vilasanta was like night and day- and to top it off, less money! The place is spotlessly clean, on... More

I have not written a review about this place for fear that other people would find out about my secret! When I returned this year I found the hostel to have less guests than the so feel obliged to write a review about this wonderful and charming hostel. I have to say the best part about staying here is you... More

As a long term guest at Casa Vilasanta, I can say with assurance that this is the best hostel in Guadalajara. Even my local friends who have come to visit me are impressed with its appearance and accommodations. And, the staff here is wonderful. The minute you walk in you are greeted with a beautiful array of colorful decors, flowers... More

The staff at this cheerful, colorful and clean hotel are friendly and helpful. Few speak English which is a great incentive to practice your Spanish! The rooms downstairs around the courtyard are large. We have access to the large fridge. Everyone gets a bin with their name on it to keep stuff separated. And the shared kitchen is stocked with...
