I don’t usually write reviews but this one calls for it. We needed new furniture and everything in USA is back ordered by up to a year. So on a friend’s recommendation we flew out to Guadalajara, Mexico. The hotel, the room and the food were all top notch, it’s the people that made the entire experience unforgettable!
We were there for 3 days and explored a lot of furniture factories and stores during our stay. People are so kind and helpful and accommodating that it blew our minds. They work with you and the prices are a fraction of what you would pay in States. Food was extremely fresh and flavorful. They go above and beyond their call to make us feel welcome!
The hotel is connected to a beautiful beautiful mall, and makes you feel like you’re in Spain rather than Mexico!
The place, the people, and the ambience were all magnificent! We will definitely go back again!

As a business traveler, swimming pools work best for me, but this hotel has a 24 hour business center and gym. If you have to plan for an IT, Cloud Adoption Strategy, or business meeting, then this hotel is great. It is also directly across from the Expo Guadalajara. Room service, a bar and onsite restaurant is in this hotel. The suites at this hotel have tons of closet space, a fridge and Uber Eats works also. Great for a weekend getaway, pets and family trips. The suites also have connected rooms with separate exterior doors. Knowledgeful and polite staff that works well under pressure. I expect much, so they were able to aid and fulfill all of my requests.

Maybe I’ll change to Westin from Marriott. Great check in from Jasmin. Nice upgrade to a high floor corner suite. Fantastic.
Prompt delivery of a second bathrobe, followed by a knock with the delivery of complimentary and excellent cream puffs.
Nice bed, nice views, quite comfortable Dave for the wailing from children next door.
Buffet breakfast was spectacular, with omelette station and everything else. The downsides
No soap in the shower dispenser. Wonky thermostat in the living room, and the killer, Constant drum beat Disco pounding elevator bmusic all through the hotel even at breakfast. During breakfast some one woke up and put on some moderately soft vocals. Very annoying.
Will put on top of most Marriott any time. Now one of my favorite hotels. Thank you.

I did a reservation for 3 roomd for the Expo Mueble 2022 3 weeks in advance, the day before the expo ( today ) I recieved an e-mail leting me know that "There was a problem" and my rooms were not available. Sorry for the inconvenience, we have an option that is NOT across the Expo as was our intention to be.

This is a beautiful property, located across the street from the Guadalajara Expo, a huge conference centre. So, if you’re visiting GDL for business, location might be perfect. However, if you’re traveling for pleasure, the Westin is slightly out of the way. Nevertheless, it remains an excellent option since taxis are very inexpensive in GDL. Service is excellent. We were too late to book for the special banquet on Christmas Eve, but they organized special room service for us, and it was great.

I really enjoyed my stay at this lovely hotel. Since I had a very packed schedule, I did not have a lot of time to enjoy the amenities, but the rooms were updated, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was also delicious and offered a variety of options. Additionally, they offer COVID testing at the hotel, which is very convenient for international travelers. I would definitely stay here again for business travel and it met my needs perfectly.

So I was in Guadalajara visiting a friend who lives in the suburbs but decided to stay in a hotel since she had to work a bit and this gave me closer proximity to the city. The Westin was a great pick as the hotel was safe, very clean and my room on the 20th floor had amazing views. I was very impressed with the hotel, staff and room in general.
I ate at the sushi restaurant downstairs and while Mexican sushi is not exactly like American sushi, it was very good!
Even though it's not exactly walking disance to the city center, I walked the area quite a bit and felt very safe and comfortable, and there was lots of restaurants and even a few shopping centers within a 15 minute walk from the hotel.

I'll would definitely stay at the Westin again in the future.

Great hotel to stay at, everything you expect from a Marriott is there. Safe quit neighborhood. Definitely will be returning. To top it off, had the pleasure of being attended by perhaps one of the best bartenders I have met. Carlos Saucedo gave us so many amazing, safe suggestions from live music, to food, to museums. Every place he suggested was probably the highlight of our trip! His service was always professional and yet managed to always maintain a great dialogue while still working. Drinks were amazing and even the drinks I explained how to make from the US were amazing.
Overall, loved the hotel and staff leading to loving the city. 10/10

I had such a high expectations for the Westin Guadalajara but was highly disappointed.

Would I recommend it? No I would not and here is why

1. Check-in was subpar. The guy seemed hañf asleep and not very excited to be there
2. All kinds of issues with the Hotel: Rooms not cleaned, gum on the gym machines, safe not working, AC not working - they denied there was a problem until they technician told me there was issues with some of the rooms ACs and finally at that point management accepted there was an issue and tried to take a more proactive approach and accommodate
3. There was no apologies from the actual manager for the issues encountered. A bottle of wine or discount on our room service would have done it as a good gesture.
4. Bonvoy Titanium or Platinum didn’t matter to the manager
5. When arriving and leaving the hotel absolutely no one helped with the luggage. In a 4-5 star hotel really?
6. There was no one at the bar at night and the ambience of hotel was sad
7. Didn’t really look like the pictures, at least parts of it were unrecognizable to me
8. No pool

Disappointed and would not recommend to tourists or business trips. better value and way better service and working clean rooms elsewhere in Guadalajara

The hotel is extremely nice and modern. Every space such as lobby, elevators and rooms are well kept and clean. This is perfect for business trips. The restaurant has good food. Everyone staff member there is friendly. Fortunate to get a great view of the city. Within the area there are only hotels but can uber to Avenida Chapultepec for food/beverages.
