I should have suspected something when the staff insisted that I pay for my full stay upon check-in. Another red flag waved when I had to sign a promisory note to pay 250 Mexican pesos if I didn’t return the television remote control at check-out. I hadn’t lodged at the Laffayette Hotel in Guadalajara, Mexico for many years, even though...

It has really gone down. Dirty rooms, few staff and therefore inefficient. Hundreds of beer restaurants nearby and very noisy on weekends until 4am. No English television. The. Hotel is being used by poor Mexican workers who hope to get a visa to the United States, as the Consulate is nearby, and they arrive by in two or three coaches...

Had the a very bad expierence in Lafayette hotel. Arrived to a súper dirty lobby. Once they gave me my key to the room I opened the room to find people sleeping in the bedroom! Terrible! They gave me the wrong bedroom and key which makes it super insecure. Lobby manager did not seem to care. Shower was dirty. The...

It is a good hotel to stay in if you need to get your visa renewal. It's a good place in Chapultepec Avenue and close to great restaurants and bars. It's on a great location to go for a walk and do some sightseeing.

We asked to see a receipt and only then when the signature on the reciept didn't match ours did they let us back in the room. They did the same thing again on check...

I stayed at this hotel for six days in February. Its a very tidy hotel, all spic and span. The reception staff is helpful but for English speaking tourists communicating with them is difficult because most dont speak English. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. The coffee percolator in the room is delightful. The breakfast they serve...

If you're visiting Guadalajara and you are doing bussiness at the Expo Guadalajara, this hotel is great because is cheap, clean and is just a half block from the Chapulepec avenue where good pubs and bars are.

This hotel bills itself as a 4-Star hotel. By Mexican standards, perhaps, but by Canadian/American standards, Motel 6 is seriously better than this. There's free wifi but it's irritatingly slow and the connection even drops even though I've got the full 3 bars on my iPhone. It's January and even though the lows are around 10 celsius, it gets really...

Non-existent wifi internet service. Noisy......TV channels bad. No US major channels and only about 2 English speaking channels. Front desk clerks pretty clueless. Key card system terrible. Have had to replace 2 or 3 times in a visit. Holes in lamp shades. Great location and looked like at one time a nice hotel. Have let the place deteriorate.

Nice location within walking distance to US Consulate and many eateries. Safe, clean, efficient staff and transportation always out front or back. Nice Resturant too! Very pleasant stay and in a safe, quiet and with in a 100 peso taxi ride(10 mins) to el centro/ fairly priced and contrary to some past reviews, the bathroom was modern and clean. And...
