Very nice hotel. We live a few blocks away. We have had drinks there. They are always busy even with the depressed times. Very clean and good service The building is lovely. I would recomend it. Pricing is a bit high but it is down town an within walking distance of a lot.

3 1/2 stars. Better than average but not quite 4 stars. We were given a good size room with our own private terrace overlooking the pool area. Our room was very quiet & the bed was comfortable. We did see another smaller room in the hotel & don't think we would have been as happy if we stayed there. I...

This hotel is centrally located in the Historical District of Guadalajara. Its Spanish architecture and its decorations reminds you of days past, when royalty would visit. The rooms are spacious and the staff is friendly and very accommodating. It has a very good restaurant on the premises and a swimming pool. You can walk to the Plaza, the Museum and...

This hotel can be a bit hit or miss. It is a bit pricy compared to some of the other hotels in the area, but the location may be worth the extra fee for most people. It really is just a block away from the Teatro Degollado, so you can easily walk most of the historic center while staying only...

This time I could´t get a room in my usual hotel, so I tried this one and was pleasantly surprised. The mayor benefit is it´s prime location, in front of Theatre Degollado, one block away from the Cathedral, in the very heart of the city. Rooms are clean (so a little bit small), service staff friendly and many tourist attractions...

Have been there now for second time. Reception Service quite ok, Historical building. Room design and interior very simple but functional. Noise from swimming pool ends at about 10PM. Room had bad smell, so I was forced to open the window. Wifi ok Breakfast selection limited but ok in taste. Coffee not very good

We had expected much more for this hotel...Great location in the historic center ,walking distance to feel the vibrant old city. Depending in witch room you are you can have a better or worst experience. Our room was dated, old carpeting and an odd decoration. We didn't feel comfortable in the room. The reception was bad for us We had arrived...

1/2 block from Theater Degollado - I attended 3 events in 4 days. The decor is classic - I found it lovely. My room was large, with lots of natural light and a balcony overlooking the pool. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. The front desk was responsive and helpful in arranging activities for us. My only complaint...

This is our 3rd time in a dozen visits that we've stayed at the de Mendoza. It really is remarkable that things don't change much in these aged hotels. The staff was friendly and the price was right. We needed a central location and this was why we selected it this time (December, 2014). Every room is a bit different,...

In the heart of the historical center, the hotel provides a great location from which to explore this beautiful area. The hotel is charming, but dated. During my week's stay repairs were in progress, the men worked quietly, so it was not a problem, but with so much to do, it may be a while for completion. My room was...
